Norma Iris Barbosa Rivera, MD

Norma Barbosa Rivera, M.D., is Board Certified in Internal
Medicine. At Conviva Care Center Coral Gate, she leads
a team of compassionate, patient-centered health care
professionals dedicated to medical excellence. Dr. Barbosa
Rivera completed a residency at San Juan City Hospital in
San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her program director was Dr. Maria
de Lourdes Miranda.
Dr. Barbosa Rivera earned her medical degree from the
San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto
Rico. She received a bachelor’s degree in General Science
from the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus in
Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. Dr. Barbosa Rivera is a member of
the Florida Medical Association and the American College
of Physicians.
Her publications and posters include: “The Relationship
Between eGFR and Cardiovascular Disease in Patient
with Diabetes Mellitus in a Hospital of the Metropolitan
Area of San Juan, Puerto Rico,” “Disseminated Fusarium
in Patient with AML, an Early Diagnosis is Lifesaving,” and

First Place Award for “Healthy Young Male Patient with
Idiopathic Aplastic Anemia: A Diagnostic Challenge.” Dr.
Barbosa Rivera enjoys her time with her family, reading,
and movies.
