Dr. Joseph Albert Aldrich JR., DO

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Aldrich when he practiced in Kirksville, MO. He's a top notch pediatrician. One of the best I've ever seen. I miss him a lot. Would recommend him to everyone.

I Love Dr. Aldrige after trying a few different doctors for my son he was amazing. He always had time for us would listen to everything I had ti say and made my son not scared of going to the Dr. But the front desk was awful and he knew it thats what he left! and not my son is left with no Dr! i just hope he opens up somewhere soon!!!

My son absolutely loved Dr Aldrich! He is very bashful when it comes to health issues but the first time he met Dr Aldrich he felt very comfortable and at ease. Great Friendly personable doctor!

My daughter Whitney, was a patient of Dr Aldrich in Toledo in the 80's. She was very ill, but Dr Aldrich was always there to calm us. He called the hospital all hours of the night to check on her. What little time she was home, his office called us to check on her. He is a fantastic physician, but if he didn't know something, he probably knew someone that did. There was no ego to deal with...as down to earth as they come and a staff that matched. When my daughter died of pneumonia, he and his staff attended her funeral. I assume appointments were canceled for the day, because it was a weekday morning. They not only treated my daughter, but they took care of us, a young couple without a clue about sick infants. If Dr. Joseph Aldrich is your pediatrician, you are very lucky. They don't make them like that very often.

Of all the pediatricians I have come in contact with in my professional as well as private life, Dr. Aldrich is the absolute best in all areas. The wait time to see him is short considering the time he will spend with you if needed. I have seen him take a 15 minute appointment and turn it into an hour or more because there was more to the problem than first thought. The other patients are never overlooked if he gets into a problem. He sees them in between checking on labs etc. with the ill child. He is more than willing to spend the additional time needed to answer questions or simply console. He does extensive research on any unusual occurance and is not happy untill he finds an answer for a difficult diagnosis and will be the first to consult another physician if he believes the problem does not relate to his specialty. If it were possible I would have each and every one of my grandchildren have him as thier PCP.I can not say enough good things about him. Not to mention that I never… saw one child that wasnt happy to see him. He has a WONDERFUL goofy bedside manner that children really relate to while in keeping with professionalism to the parents. We need ALOT more Pediatricians like him. Kids wouldnt be so afraid to go to the Dr.
