Dr. Octavia Kincaid, MD

Dr. Kincaid has spent every single appointment telling me my previous and current diagnosed aren't official because she hasn't personally tested and assessed them. She told me I don't have dementia even though I'm being treated for it for a year now and multiple providers confirmed the diagnosis. She has a huge ego and does not listen to her patients. She scraps people's medical history and charts even when they are credible and years of testing and gaslighting to be made a diagnosis to begin with. She claims to treat more than she really does and will send you out to specialists who also don't treat those disorders. She haphazardly will diagnose you with thoracic outlet syndrome or piriform is syndrome but say all your credible diagnoses are faulty. She's abrasive, doesn't listen, and isn't willing to be wrong. If she didn't discover it, it's not an accurate diagnostic problem to be treated.

The 1st appointment she tried to be super helpful, except she refused to look at any of my medical records. I thought I'd be taken for my word then about my diagnoses, since I had proof in hand; but I wasn't. Instead, half of my 2nd appt was turned into an intervention about an "Undiagnosed GI problem" that had actually been diagnosed by 5 Advanced Endoscopy GI Dr's. She didn't believe me that I'd been diagnosed; so she threw a neurological diagnosis at it, that has haunted me ever since by making it hard for me to get ppl to take the GI Disorder seriously! On top of that, I can't get help from other neurologists now, bc they're reading Dr Kincaid's notes, & following suit by continuing Dr Kincaid's intervention about the alleged, "undiagnosed" GI problem. I was treated like a liar at my 2nd appt, while she was loudly telling me I had not been diagnosed w the GI Disorder that I told her I was. If she could've thrown my chart in the trash on her way out the door, at my 2nd appointment,… she would have. Dr Kincaid, if you aren't going to read patients records, then you need to take them at their word! You also need to stay in your lane! I had a GI Dr. I really needed a Neurologist.

Doctor more than outstanding practioner but excellent communicator. Had serious leg/foot problem, did EMG and as result recommended therapy and exercise when able and recovery was total withing four months.

When we saw Dr. Kincaid (in 2010), she was the best. She was so smart and always helpful to give information. We were really sorry to lose her.
