Summary
One of the most important aspects of patient care is demonstrating active listening to help understand each patient’s specific concerns, needs and background. Not only does this improve patient-physician rapport, it also allows me to tailor a medical plan and recommendations to the individual. I also love taking the time to discuss and summarize with my patients at the end of each clinic visit to ensure that all questions have been answered and that next steps and recommendations have been thoroughly explained to the patient and their family.
