Dr. Julia Kwan, MD

The doctor was very attentive and took the time to understand my concerns. She recommended a personalized skincare routine that really improved my skin texture. I’m so happy with the results

Today was my first appointment with Dr Julia Kwan, Dermatologist, Torrance CA and frankly after reading several reviews online, I was apprehensive as to what my experience might be. Having said that, I found Dr. Kwan to be the exact opposite from the less than complimentary reviews previously posted. I found Dr. Kwan to be extremely nice, she was not rushed, she answered every question I had while conducting a full body skin check for anything amiss that my 68 year old body could present. We discussed several options for my visit today and made a plan for potential future needs. I felt 100% taken care of in a positive, polite, and caring way. I would whole heartedly recommend Dr. Kwan to anyone needing a new Dematologist and I am glad to have found a new doctor that I feel will help me take care of my skin/issues for years to come.

It's weird that this is a review for Providence Dermatology when she doesn't even work there. She's even listed on their website. Fake reviews? Anyways I had a good experience with Dr. Kwan at CSI. She identified my condition right away and prescribed meds that worked. I watch Pimple Popper sometimes and even she doesn't know everything that comes to her. I feel like if Dr. Kwan had a show she'd upstage Pimple Popper.

Dr Kwan was so insensitive to my mother regarding her skin biopsy. When she called the office to share concern for her ulcerated biopsy site, Dr Kwan said “You have an HMO. There’s nothing I can do. Quest is a bad lab.” She proceeded to tell my mother to use Aquafor and a bandaid. Her pathology came back as an aggressive and rare stage 3 Melanoma. When Dr Kwan delivered the news, she displayed no empathy whatsoever. Perhaps she would be better suited to work in a cosmetic dermatology spa or a lab where she doesn’t have to interact with people. I wish I could give her zero stars, because that’s what she deserves. Do not see Dr Kwan if you are concerned with your health.
