Nicholas Batson, MD

If i can give him a zero, I would. He is such an arrogant Doctor. He's dry and very serious with a cold demeanor. He doesn't listen to his patient and he goes against what they are telling him they need help with. Do not waste your time or money on this Doctor! I found a better Dr. for my daughter, thank god! Shes 17 years old, but he refuses to talk to the parentm, unless he chooses to do so that day. His staff are nasty as well and I was informed by management that they are aware and have had several complaints about him but once you see him, they cannot switch your doctors and they referred me to 2 other clinics. That's how bad it is. Do not waste your time and energy. If you're seeking help- do not go to him or his wife, who is also a psychiatrist there in the same office. Her name is Lisa Batson. I wish I would have done my research prior to booking. Don't make the same mistake as me! It was a waste of time and very frustrating dealing with him and his staff!!

To Whom It May Concern: I'm writing about Dr. Nicholas Batson's behavior during a visit in my quest for a potential Psychiatrist for my own care. The following is a firsthand account of my first appointment with said doctor as it occurred on 12/19/2022 at the 155 Crystal Run location: --I arrived 15 minutes before my 3pm appointment. --I filled out the necessary paperwork and did the intake at the front desk. --The Dr. finally walked in at 3:23pm, just as I was walking out to use the restroom. He already appeared annoyed as if I was the one holding him up for our 1-hour appointment when he was the one already 23 minutes late. --He began the appointment with a horrendous bedside manner. He sat down and began typing. The Dr. never told me anything about himself, nor what the visit would consist of, just a straight shooter asking why I was there. --I explained to him how I just didn't want to cry every day and how I was going through an extremely difficult time trying to… understand the things I did. I used the example of standing by a man in prison for almost two decades to have him come home and literally destroy me and how awful it still feels. --Then I mentioned to him how I know how controlling I can be to which he responded, "So you want to see a therapist so they can tell you what you already know? That you're controlling?" --After that, he started to say something else which I immediately blocked out because at this point it was useless to continue our visit, the damage was done, I didn't trust him, I was on the defensive. --I sighed, and he said, "We can end this session right now", to which I responded, "YES WE SHOULD, FUCK YOU", and I stormed out of his office in tears. I must mention that I was referred to him by my physician, Dr. Minu Colaco from Crystal Run. So, I blindly trusted a referral coming from my longtime physician. I went on his website and looked up his bio. I must say, his bio reads like a fictitious resume of someone trying to sell their nonexistent talents. I will now quote the " good doctor's hooks" that led me to believe that he could be compassionate and empathetic: WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR SPECIALTY? WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR SPECIALTY? "The rewarding aspect of being a psychiatrist comes from taking each patient's unique situation and working with them to provide relief of their physical and mental suffering". HOW DO YOU CONNECT WITH YOUR PATIENTS? "Patients are more than a diagnosis and a medication list. By understanding their individual life experiences, I hope to connect in a way that makes the patient-doctor relationship truly meaningful". I have never felt more belittled by such an arrogant, pompous ass of a man in my life. For the past few months, my mental health has been at its most fragile and it took so much for me to seek appropriate help. My family, friends, co-workers, and other doctors have tried to convince me to just get help, but I was fighting it thinking, "I'll be fine, it'll pass". But I wasn't fine, and it never passed. I spent many sleepless nights overthinking, crying, and analyzing my life's choices repeatedly. I was on and off medication, but I didn't feel it was helping me. At times, it didn't seem like my life was going to get any better any time soon. My doctor spoke to me about psychiatry and for once, I thought I saw a flicker of the proverbial light at the end of my dark tunnel. I thought for one slight moment that this man she was referring me to might be the answer. I wasn't expecting a quick fix. I knew I probably had a long road ahead of me, but I was ready to begin the journey, and dare I say, I was actually looking forward to it. Today is 1/20/2023. I reported the incident to Dr. Minu Colaco on 12/20/2023. A MONTH FROM TODAY. I told her I wanted him reported. I wanted someone to get back to me and keep me informed. I let the holidays go by before I wrote this letter because I am that considerate!!! But NOTHING! N

I’m not sure why my review was deleted. I don’t ever write reviews, but feel I must. I went into this appointment with high hopes and an open mind. It was one of the most horrible experiences ever. People come to psychiatrists because they are suffering. Every time I tried to speak he shot me down. He actually said, “Why are you here?” I don’t know how he is practicing. I walked out feeling so bad. I am writing this to anyone who has anxiety issues or depression because we already suffer enough we come to psychiatrists for help not to be made to feel like we are worthless.

My wife went to him for help. He never stopped typing on the computer, he made her feel horrible and he just shrugged and said what are you doing here. Totally unprofessional, I’m writing this because I was disgusted with the way she was treated.

Asked me why I was there. Made me feel worse. Did not listen at all, he just kept typing away on his computer. I never write reviews but I felt I must because if you are having issues he is not the one to go to.

I wish someone would have warned me about this very toxic Dr AND individual! He is NOT a healthy individual and should NOT be still in practice!

He is judgmental. Horrible bedside manner. Angers very quickly if you to ask questions and only cares about his credentials not his patients.
