Dr. Ruth Marie Jacobs, MD

The rudest and most unprofessional doctor I have ever dealt with. For 6 weeks this “doctor” would not return phone calls even though I’ve been getting IM shots from sepsis for this time that I’ve been “under her care”. Today when speaking to her on the phone her reason for not returning my calls is because, and I quote, “you dissed me on your way out”. What kind of language is they for a doctor, number 1. Number 2, YOU’RE the doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Jacobs several years ago and am convinced she saved my life. I had a very difficult case of MRSA which only she of several doctors properly diagnosed and used an experimental treatment to completely cure. The conventional treatment of surgery would have rendered me forever unable to walk. When my insurance company was unwilling to pay for more than a week of hospitalization (I was hospitalized for 12 days) she wrote a compelling letter that convinced them to cover my entire stay. It is true that her manner is off-putting, walking in without saying "Hello", leaving the room in mid-sentence during a visit, but we learned not to take her eccentricities personally and her results speak for themselves.

I never leave bad reviews, but I feel like this time is warranted. I don't have any faith in Dr. Ruth Jacobs' diagnoses, and when I ask her follow-up questions so I can better understand what she's saying, she seems completely frustrated with me. I definitely won't be returning, this felt like a complete waste of my time...

Dr. Jacobs is a caring and kind doctor. She really cares about her patients. She is extremely knowledgable. Never had a wait in her office. Answers all questions. Her receptionist remembers everyone and is awesome!

She makes all efforts to diagnose your health issue. You may run into some issue with nsome insurance carriers due to what they call as "low volume". But, doctor's office was professional in handling the issue

she should consider another profession. very impersonal....

Plain old didn't like her. I don't have any intention of bashing the office. But I will not be going back.

Dr.Jacobs saved my life back in 2001, when I was infected with Listeriosis. I was pregnant at the time, ost my baby and after performing an autopsie on the baby the hospital finally discovered that I was infected with the Listeria bacteria. Listeriosis is a rare but lethal food born infection. It affects the nervous system and cause meningitis. Dr. Jacob reacted quickly when she was called to take care of me. Because of her careful and precise diagnosis, she saved my life. Meningitis symtoms had already started and only had a few hours left to live. So, yes I will rate this doctor to be the best.
