Summary
I currently live in Georgia, but I am from Michigan. Besides being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - so I treat substance abuse and trauma, plus I also treat depression, anger management, assertiveness, grief, work relationships, family relationships, Bipolar diagnosis, personality disorders and many other issues. I work with individuals from age 20 on up. A little about me - my husband and I have been married since 1976 - wow! We have four grown children, five grandchildren and one great-grandson. We have also lived in Iowa, Illinois, Hawaii, Colorado, and Tennessee. So I guess we could be called adventurous! One great advantage of living in all of these very diverse locations is that we have met individuals from all walks of life - which has definitely made our lives richer in that I believe I have a broader understanding of people. While our people children are now grown and on their …own we are enjoying the love and companionship of a cat named Kathmandu (Kat for short. I didn't say that I was creative!), and a dog named Daisy Mae. I currently work full time as a Mental Health Unit Manager and am beginning to think about partially retiring, which is why I am pleased to have been accepted into the SonderMind family as I slowly but surely make that transition to being partially retired.
