Dr. Christina D Byerson, DDS

Born in Japan to an Air Force father, Dr. Christina Byerson's diverse upbringing across Oklahoma, Germany, and Hampton, Virginia, instilled in her a deep appreciation for varied perspectives. Excelling at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), she graduated early with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, later earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery from VCU and an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in dentistry, Dr. Byerson mentored aspiring dental professionals through minority-focused summer programs and volunteered in Mission of Mercy Projects to provide essential dental care to underserved communities. Her dedication extended to serving as the youngest Chief Dental Officer at a Federally Qualified Health Center and providing dental care in the Corrections Sector and to military personnel during weekend readiness events. Active in the dental community, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Dental Association Foundation, is Vice President of the Peter B. Ramsey Dental Society, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
