Dr. Joshua A Meador, DDS

My experience with Dr. Meador was extremely disappointing. I came in for what should have been a routine filling and ended up being turned away due to a single elevated blood pressure reading. I explained clearly that I have anxiety-related spikes in medical settings and that my blood pressure is normal at home, which has already been discussed with my primary care doctor. This was dismissed without consideration. What was especially concerning was the lack of effort to handle the situation appropriately. I had to be the one to suggest rechecking my blood pressure, and it was only taken again after I asked. By that point, I was already upset, and naturally, the reading was higher. There was no attempt to allow me time to calm down, no proper reassessment under normal conditions, and no discussion of alternatives. Instead, I was sent home without treatment after taking time off work. I understand the importance of patient safety, but this experience felt dismissive and lacking in basic… patient care and communication. Patients should feel heard and supported, especially when they are trying to explain relevant medical history. Unfortunately, this experience has led me leave a dental practice I’ve been a patient at for almost 30 years to seek care elsewhere.
