Dr. Ethan Douglas Ruhland

My husband developed severe hip pain and inability to safely walk in mid January The office got him in three days after contacting them, and an X-ray revealed a fracture of the femoral head. Dr Ruhland explained our options which were complicated due to a recent injection via a different facility. He consulted with his colleagues and decided surgery needed to be performed within a couple of weeks. The entire process was explained and we had steady communication with the office which was so helpful with this stressful situation. The surgery was successful and he has returned to much of his daily work with a handyman business. Our story continues as I also have suffered with hip pain and limitation for the past 3-4 years, and decided to have my hip replaced one month ago. The entire process has been straight forward and I’m seeing daily progress. My career was as a physical therapist who worked with orthopedic doctors on a regular basis. This doctor really cares about his patients and… their return to normal function, and his skill is apparent with both of our hip surgeries. I would highly recommend Dr Ruhland and Michigan Orthopedic Center if you’ve decided to finally pursue that hip replacement and get on with your life!!

Dr. Ruhland provides outstanding orthopedic care and always sees patients in a timely manner. He is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cares about his patients' well-being.

I have enjoyed the process with Dr. Ruhland. I was very apprehensive about having hip surgery. Dr. Ruhland took time to explain the procedure and what to expect.
