Dr. Aamir Rasheed, MD

I have been his Patient for over 11 years and I couldn't ask for a better Neurologist. He is kind and patient and listens. I recommend him to everyone . I am so glad my regular doctor recommended him to me.

I Went to see Dr Rasheed on two separate occasions for seizures, he treated me like a was a hypochondriac who was wasting his time. He ran a test and found nothing and said it was anxiety and depression. Yeah right they cause seizure and sent me to a neorophycoligist to talk to and an IQ test. Wth. I was not happy and the Dr agreed and ripped it up. I did not give up, i found another Dr who confirmed my suspicions I was overdosed with meds containing benzodiazepine which my liver couldnt process and as more accumulated the body releases alot of it at once. Which is why I had the episodes which were like being extremely drunk, couldnt stand or make sense verbally. So point is check your meds first before you seek help from a Dr who will spend 5-7 minutes with you and treat you like your a mental case.

This poor excuse of a doctor refused to see my son for being 7 minutes late we come from some distance away and we called and let him know we where in a traffic jam on the highway and running a few minutes late. This shows how he does not care or have any concern or care about his patients!! This Doctor is the WORST!!

Dr Rasheed is a very kind, patient, understanding, caring, attentive doctor. I've asked questions at each visit and he has always explained things/results clearly so I really know what's going on. I never feel rushed out of there and I can see the empathy and compassion he holds for his patients. The staff at the office is also very kind and considerate. I'm very grateful to have found Dr Rasheed!!

I have seen him now twice and he preformed my emg and nerve conduction study he was as gentle as possible and explained it all. He always is good for conversation and easy to talk to. I enjoy going to see him. I told my wife he was hubby material.

I have not been a patient very long with Dr. Rasheed but so far every time I have seen him he was kind, listened, patient with me and thorough yet wasted no time. I hope my luck with him is not short lived and we have developed a decent doctor/patient relationship - it is too early to be sure. Time will tell.

He is soft-spoken and seems mostly knowledgeable, but doesn't tell you all the risks of epilepsy, such as the possibility of Sudden Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) so be sure and ask him about it if you or a loved one has seizures, even if they're well-controlled. His nurse, Dawn, said it was MY responsibility to know all the risks! He has not returned 4 messages to call me about more questions. His receptionist, Michelle, has always been snippy and unprofessional. I will always wonder if my daughter would still be alive if he had told me how to possibly prevent her SUDEP.

I have had Dr.Rasheed for years now I respect him as a doctor. He has helped me with my migraines and some other problems. He listens to what I have to say. I just dont like waiting months to get an appoinment. Just shows you how many people like him as a doctor.

Tried repeatedly to talk to Rasheed about serious side effects from a medicine he prescribed but he would not talk to me. Also was waiting for test results which where due in 1 wk. I finally got the results in 8 wks. (test was sitting on his desk waiting to be read.)

Tried repeatedly to get a call back about not-so-good test results from another doctor concerning meds he put me on (and didn't warn me about or test for common but potentially debilitating side effects the other doctor found). Not very caring, a little too casual, throw a pill at it...whatever....kind of attitude. Not real helpful for scary things such as neurological problems.
