Dr. Abhishek Aphale

I was treated by Dr. Abhishek Aphale at Fox Chase Cancer Center and developed a large seroma as a result of the surgery, requiring an additional surgery for removal. When I raised concerns, Dr. Aphale appeared unfamiliar with this complication and called in a surgical PA for advice. The conversation that ensued did not give me confidence, “Should we drain it?” (Dr. Aphale)”You can not put a needle in that until we get an ultrasound.”(Surgical PA) The ultrasound was non conclusive so I wanted additional testing I was met with much resistance. At one point, he called me, demanded I read his last portal message aloud, and was clearly angry I was advocating for my own health. Later, in response to my answer, he remarked, “Where did you learn that? In one of your nursing books?”—a comment I found unprofessional and demeaning. Fox Chase administration including James Helstrom MD, Chief Medical Officer stated a review was completed and “standards were met,” eventually offering a 20%… discount (~$600), without addressing how this surgery’s adverse outcome has lead to the need for another surgery, loss of work, unnecessary stress and dealing with an unprofessional physician. As a nurse and a patient, I expect professional communication, accountability, and respect in the healthcare setting. Be careful who you choose for your healthcare provider. Find someone who is respectful and maintains professionalism even when things don’t go as planned.

Excellent doctor. I would highly recommend him. He is a caring and compassionate doctor. His professionalism and knowledge put my mind at ease.

An exceptional physican, bed side manner is warm, understanding, and comforting. Made me feel like a human being not a dollar amount. Highly intelligent. Knew my complicated diagnosis and explained my treatment in detail in laymans terms so I could understand. Even referred me to an oncologist who had the upmost highest praise of Dr. A. I will not see his colleague. Her reputation is horrible, I have heard nothing but nasty things of her. I have family members who also see Dr A. He is also wonderful treating my young children for warts, molluscum, excema, etc. he is warm and inviting. I will never see another dermatologist.

Excellent doctor, I love and would recommend him to all my family, friends and loved ones. He is talented, blessed, his knowledge and skill are beyond compare, his demeanor and professionalism are impeccable and his doctor's bedside manner is the most attentive considerate and compassionate I have ever witnessed, he is truly THE most devoted doctor I have Ever met and I am honored to have had the privilege to meet and have him perform 3 surgeries for me : )

Educated, compassionate and kind Dr. He doesn't rush and takes the necessary time to give you a great exam.

I would recommend this Dr if your looking for someone to diagnose you correctly and someone who actually listens to your concerns and takes you serious.

Saw Dr. Aphale in Woolwich office after Tinas recommendation. I was seeing her for peels in the same office and told her I was having issues with a persistant rash. He was thorough and the medicine he gave me worked the same day. I have found my dermatologist and he is in my back yard.

Finally we got a great DERMATOLOGIST in Swedesboro. No more traveling 2 hrs to get to one !!

Dr Aphale is a kind and caring dr . He made me feel very understood and made sure I understood my diagnosis. He gave me samples of my medication that worked perfectly. Very happy with my experience.

I was going to Tina in the swedesboro location for peels when I asked her to tell what else she thought I needed. She recommended filler and explained why. I was beyond nervous. I was scared. She spoke very highly of both doctors and answered a TON of questions that I had. She even told me she had filler. She told me to think about it and when I was ready to make appt. After about a week I made the appt. I went in again I was super nervous. She brought Dr Afalay in and my first thought was that he looked so young. He then explained what he was going to do and why. He was compassionate and knowledgable and Mimiced exactly what Tina said. I was immediately at ease. My results are incredible. My husband says I look like I did in college. I am so grateful. I can't thank Dr and Tina enough.
