The office is very hard to deal with and they bill you wrong. Be careful if you use this office!

While the office staff was very friendly and nice, Dr Mabasa was completely inept. Not only did I feel completely rushed while talking about my concerns, I was also weight shamed for being “3 pounds” over what my BMI says I should be, which is ridiculous because I’m thin and muscular. She seemed bored and uninterested in what I had to say, and I left the appointment in tears. I got zero help and will now have to wait to see another doctor in a different practice. Never again.

She is one those doctors the take time to listen and understand the needs of the patients!

For my first appointment, she brought in a male student-- without even consulting me.

the staff was very helpful and kind when I arrived. the doctor saw me and correctedly diagnosed the reason for my terrible cough and nausea. i received medication and then back at home I got a call later from the doctor to see how i was doing. thank you. i am not coughing any more and do not have anymore nausea and feel great.

What a horrible experience. This doctor does not communicate and then charges an am and a leg. I won't to see her for a sore throat and my vist cost almost $400. She charged me for my nasal congestion, headache and sore throat. Isn't this all because of the virus I had??? Watch out. She is in it for th money.

I have a great fear of doctors, and had been putting off finding a primary care physician the past couple of years, since I moved to the area. I've had a lower back issue for almost a year that finally became bad enough that I made an appointment, since she's my husband's PCP. Dr. Mabasa was amazing. She treated me with kindness, listened to my fears and symptoms, and gave me all the time I needed. She also gave me all the options I had for treatment, and didn't push me in to anything I wasn't comfortable with. Since then, I've also seen her for an annual physical and felt completely at ease addressing my health issues with her. The treatment has been top notch and the follow up from both her and her nurse has been great. I was amazed when I got a phone call from her nurse a few days after going on a medication because they wanted to check in on me. I've never had a doctor do that before. I highly recommend Dr. Mabasa.

Totally disdiagnosed me! Gave me a prescription for thyroid medication. Had a severe reaction to the medication and it took over ten hours for a doctor on call to contact me. What was really annoying is that I didn't have a thyroid conditon. I went to a Yale Doctor several weeks later and told me I didn't have a thyroid problem. She also told me I had a deficiency vitamin E. Again, misdiagnosed.

I had been exposed to rabies and needed to get the immunoglobulin shots and vaccines. I called the Dr. Mabasa's office, told them of my situation, spoke with the nurse who supposedly spoke with the dr. and was told I needed to make an appointment to see her the next day. Fine. So I went the next day at 10 am. The nurse took all my vitals and history of the rabies exposure, and the doctor came in and asked for my exposure history again. She seemed not at all in a rush to get me the treatment I needed. After several minutes, she told me that I couldn't get that treatment at her office. I asked if I needed to go to the E.R., and she said "probably". I asked her if she could find out definitely so no more time would be wasted, and WHY wasn't I told this the day I called? I would've gone right to the ER that very day. I asked Dr. Mabasa to call the ER, and she said, "well, do you want me to?". "YES" I told her and presumably, she, or a nurse, did. The head nurse came in and said… that she understood that I came in for tetanus (which was NEVER mentioned in the conversation). They had no clue as to how to go about getting me this vaccine, even suggested that I pick it up at the local CVS and they could administer it. They finally called the hospital (I insisted) and the ER staff told me to come right over. This is the last time I will deal with Dr. Mabasa and that staff. Totally inept with a life-threatening situation.
