Dr. Adeel Haq, MD

This Doctor has a nurse practitioner whom you Have to see before making an appointment with Dr Haq. She will recommend a Detox program that last for 2 days. At that point you can see the doctor, but he does not care about your needs while going through withdrawal from opiates. This is mental torture and not safe physically. There are many medications that can be prescribed to help with the withdrawal side effects - that are not opiates. Also note that the CDC recently sent out an update concerning Doctors who write opiate pain medicine prescriptions. Now the CDC report warns doctors not to cut off patients who have been on opiate pain medicine for an extended time. To just cut them off creates many problems for the patient, emotionally and physically. A person can die from withdrawal symptoms. A patient should be tapered down, not just cut off. At this point I don't see where this doctor cares about these things I have discussed.

I would highly recommend Dr. Adeel Haq! I was able to get a same day appointment and both he and his staff were kind, compassionate, and understanding of someone who is in a great deal of pain. I have been down this same road a few times now so I knew I was going to need facet or epidural injections. He provided temporary relief with trigger point injections in his office and I was able to quickly get scheduled for a couple rounds of facet injections. The whole experience with both his office and surgical staff was exceptional.
