Dr. Adrianne M. LaJoie, MD

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent appointment with Dr. Adrianne. My experience was unprofessional and made me feel deeply uncomfortable for several reasons: Inaccurate Information: The photo on your website is misleading and needs to be updated. Dr. Adrianne appears significantly older in person than in her online profile, which creates a disconnect from the very beginning of the patient experience. Lack of Professionalism and Communication: Dr. Adrianne appeared to be in a rush and repeatedly interrupted me. Although I have an accent, I am perfectly capable of communicating my needs—as my surgeon and others have confirmed—yet she repeatedly acted as though she could not understand me, making dismissive facial gestures and repeating my words back to me in a condescending manner. Perceived Bias: Because of her behavior regarding my accent, I found her conduct to be culturally insensitive and exclusionary, which is especially disappointing given the… diversity of California. Lack of Privacy: The office layout is so narrow that I could hear other patients' conversations. I felt that my own medical history was being shared with everyone nearby, which is a significant privacy concern. Inadequate Care: When I tried to ask follow-up questions, she continued walking down the hall as if she were trying to get rid of me. This is a paid service billed to my insurance, and I expected a basic level of patient care and attention that I did not receive. I will not be returning to this office. I expect my feedback regarding her unprofessional behavior and the outdated website imagery to be taken seriously to improve the experience for future patients. She looks more older than the actual picture.

Dr. La Joie is one of my favorite doctors. She is always professional, caring about my problem and letting me know how to treat it.

Dr La Joie was very professional and attentive. She listened carefully and provided me with options for my symptoms. She answered all my questions and concerns. I appreciated she had reviewed my chart and history before my appointment so we could discuss my treatment effectively.

Overall I had a very good experience with Dr. La Joie. She listened to my concerns and offered me a treatment plan I am very comfortable with. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

Dr. La Joie is an amazing, caring, intelligent, informative doctor and it really shows. You can tell she really cares about her work and it feels good and means so much to be in "good hands" these days.
