Dr. Aileen M Takahashi, MD

Dr Takahashi’s professionalism and calm demeanor put me at ease from the moment she entered the OR prep area. I was extremely pleased with her flexibility to perform the surgical procedure sooner than allowing it to go to the next day. Everything seemed to run very smoothly and in an extremely organized but caring way. I would highly recommend Dr Takahashi to anyone who needs her expertise. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to her, her staff and the TM hospital staff for making this event almost “uneventful”. Thank you!

I come from a family of surgeons, very bright ones, some that are a bit too arrogant at times, I thought I had seen the worse attitudes in bright haughty surgeons, until I met Dr. Takahashi. When asked a question, she replied "Didn't I already answer this"? or "it should have been answered in your (bariatric) training". At one point, I asked about the prescriptions for the medicines I should take after the surgery, she literally yelled at me that I was given the prescription and that I must have lost it". Later, the prescription was found in my file in her office, her staff or she had forgotten to give it to me. She expects her patients to revere her and shut up. I almost cancelled my surgery with her. However, my family doctor had referred me to her, and I also inquired about her surgical abilities with many other surgeons who work at Torrance Memorial Hospital, aI was told that she is actually a good surgeon, so i decided to stick with her. If I had do this over, I will not go… to her. Also, when I inquired about her bedside manners, everyone I asked, including her doctor colleagues, the nursing staff, even the volunteers in the hospital, everybody invariably said that she was rude. I am giving her two stars for her surgical abilities, the surgery seems to have gone well, but it has been little time since I had it, so time will tell how good she really was as a surgeon. She certainly was horrible as a human being.

Dr. Takahashi is a Great Surgeon!!! I did amazing prep before surgery believing I would be fighting a War after my surgery to get back to normal. I literally had No Issues... Woke up from Surgery feeling

As a physician/surgeon and medical director of a surgery center I am very pleased with the care I received from Dr. Takahashi MD . My medical history required reevaluation’s with consultants prior to what would otherwise be a rather Straight forward outpatient procedure. Dr. Takahashi And her office gathered the needed information and was able to develop a plan that would allow for outpatient surgery in the most appropriate setting . I work with surgeons every day and could choose any surgeon for the procedure I had and could’ve had the procedure performed and any facility that I chose. after this experience I’m very glad I chose Dr. Takahashi and her excellent staff to meet my surgical needs. An additional benefit was that she put my wife completely at ease. Due to scheduling and Dr. Takahashi’s excellent reputation I did have to wait a few extra weeks to have my procedure performed. the time waiting was well worth the Excellent outcome. She is highly recommended without… reservation .

she is truly rude. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO TO HER OR HER PARTNER DR. SOLOMON! THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS !!!!

I'm a nurse and I prefer Dr Takahashi over all of our other excellent surgeons here. I have had 2 unrelated surgeries by her. with excellent outcomes.

Dr. Takahashi provided wonderful care and expertise throughout my surgery experience - before, during, and after. Great office staff and professional team with the Madison office.

Dr. Takahashi is an incredible surgeon and doctor - patient, knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate. Visits with her are unrushed and fact-based. I have been incredibly impressed with the outcome and ongoing care from my surgery. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Gave excellent care after the Surgery. Always listened to my comments or concerns & acted on them. Responded to nurse inquiries very quickly. The infectious diseases doctor indicated that if he had the same problem as myself, he would want her to fix it for him.....
