Dr. Ajanta Sanjay Vinekar, MD

Dr Vinekar is very knowledgeable and combines psychotherapy with her medication evaluation . I find her to be a good listener, patient and very diligent .

Dr.Vinekar has been very caring and supportive, she is easy to talk to. I feel fortunate to have her as my doctor

She is a very competent therapist. She very patiently takes her time during sessions and is concerned about your spiritual as well as your physical health. I would and have recommended other patients to her.

I have been seeing DR Vinekar for my depression,anxiety she has been a great help. She approaches my problems with great care and is very insightful with helping me with my problems it is difficult to find a good therapist i would recommend her.

I take care of all appointments for my mom with Alzheimers. I cancelled appointment with 24 hrs notice and explained that we were changing back to previous physician. Dr. Vinekar called me back and was EXTREMELY rude when I explained that we were switching doctors (my mom had only seen her once and was not happy). Dr. Vinekar hung up on me mid-sentence! I have NEVER been treated so rudely by a doctor.

This woman is so rude, i can tell you and believe me the reviews about her are actually true, she is very inconsiderate and snobbish. We had an appointment for 3:30pm and we came in a lil too early. While the other scheduled patients were yet to arrive, we waited in the waiting room in the heat, which she later turned on the Air i would think common sense would be common but it sure isnt.. She is ridiculously emotionless and doesnt listen, more like a stubborn adult baby. I can honestly tell you do not book her, she is not warm, hospitality is -00000.0000%. Sadly she is the only psychiatrists with medicare in Monroe. If anyone knows of a better one in monroe pls do post on the review box. Because this woman sure doesnt know her job atall.

I would not recommend this provider to any patient as her professional rapport with prospective patients/ family is unacceptable. This provider does not listen to the information provided and she jumps to conclusions without fully being able to understand what is being communicated to her. Dr. Vinekar can be exceptionally rude when communicating over the phone. Without knowing all the facts she makes recommendations/ referrals over the phone to Acute Energency Psychiatric Services to prospective patients who just need non- emergency consultation or second opinion. I have never had such a negative experience with any provider. I am not sure about her clinical abilities as we did not have a chance to schedule an appointment but based on the conversation with her( over the phone) I would not recommend her services to anyone.
