Akaluck "Ben" Thatayatikom, MD, is a board certified pediatric rheumatologist and immunologist. After graduating from Chiang Mai University in Thailand, Dr. Thatayatikom went on to complete two pediatric residencies at Chiang Mai University Hospital and at the University of Hawaii. A highly experienced clinician, Dr. Thatayatikom completed his allergy and immunology fellowship at National Jewish in Denver, and at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis for rheumatology and immunology. He was a former pediatric rheumatology/ immunology fellowship training program director at Washington University School of Medicine and at University of Florida. He completed the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification in Rheumatology and is currently one of the fellowship mentors for USSONAR.

EVERYONE need a doctor like, Doctor BEN! He's is so amazing. He goes out of his way to make me feel HEARD! He has been by our sides no matter what and even when I didn't like some of the RULES he has made us follow to get these answer (no steroids and no motrin) they got us here. HE got us here! I got us here! We are an amazing team and in all honesty find a doctor where you are NOT just a number and you are actually a PERSON!

Dr. Akaluck is by far the best Allergy and Immunologist that my son has ever been to. He has been seeing him for a little over 2 years and his bedside manner is spectacular. You can see in just one visit how much his patients mean to him and I love that. The staff is fantastic and always polite. They always make you feel like family. My sons diagnosis is rare and I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Akaluck has handled patients prior to my son with the same diagnosis. It was a relief to not explain what it entailed and what the disease was. He is very professional and I would definitely recommend him and his staff to anyone.

He saw my son before he was a year old. He had an allergy to milk. Wonderful MD. It was a pleasure to also get to work with him.

Great Doctor was the only Doctor to find out what was wrong with my son,hope he stays in Florida .

An excellent diagnostician who spends the time to examine and explain things to patients. My son went 5 years without a diagnosis. Dr. T. diagnosed him immediately and then ran the tests to confirm his diagnosis. An excellent doctor!

My son was hospitalized at Nemours in great pain. Dr. Thatayatikom came, examined him and spent time explaining what he thought was wrong. He ordered tests, insured that other appropriate specialists were called in. He came in the next day and spent nearly an hour doing a thorough exam and then called me on the phone TWICE -- nearly an hour each call -- to discuss my son's case. My son now has treatment, a diagnosis and his pain, while not gone, is far less. This is an amazing doctor!

Very knowledgable doctor. Did not listen well though. Got the brush off with no more information since my daughter ( thankfully) didn't have what he treats.
