Dr. Akavaram Narsimha Reddy, MD

Dr Reddy is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable about Arthritis and his patient concerns. I will miss him.

Dr. Reddy is possibly the worst physician I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. He is cold, lacking in any kind of empathy for a patient’s condition. He cares more about how much money he can squeeze from you, ordering duplicate tests and forcing you to come back in for an office visit to go over the results of said tests, rather than diagnosing and treating conditions. He had seen me five weeks earlier, but argued with me, saying he had never examined me before. He took me off my treatment plan and prescribed me a new one, but it took him sixteen weeks to get the prescription filled and approved. During that time he was completely dismissive of my pain and the negative impact his lackadaisical attitude had on my quality of life.

I stopped going to Dr. Reddy shortly after he arrived here to take over Dr. Piccas position. After telling me that Dr Piccadilly diagnosis was wrong. Had me do blood work and on my visit for the results tells me that I did have what I was diagnosed with and onset of RA. I was told that I would be contacted for other results, that call never came. I called his office and no one ever answered. I finally had to break down and go to Meridian to be taken care of. I find that to be wrong for patients having to go to Boise or Meridian to be taken care of when we have someone here. He has bad bedside manners, takes little time with his patients. What a shame to have someone disliked so much is being kept in this position.

He doesn't listen, he doesn't remember his previous diagnosis. Each time I go to see him, he gives me a new diagnosis, totally different than the previous ones. Rather than set up a treatment plan he just gives you a piece of paper from the Mayo Clinic which describes what he "thinks" is wrong. The paper isn't easy to read, full of medical jargon that the average person doesn't understand. Another bad habit is he just tries to pawn you off on another doctor or physical therapy for only one part of the body, but does nothing for the rest or again, sends you to another doctor who has nothing to do with rhuematology. I know of 4 other patients who are planning to go see a doctor in Boise, due to Dr Reddy's lack of concern or knowledge or what ever is going on with him. Better of skipping this guy altogether and just make the trip to Boise, you'll get no where with Dr Reddy. Sad sad sad. We need another rheumatologist in Twin, call the hospital administration and voice your… complaints, I did and they are looking for another doctor to bring to twin. Hopefully others do this as well to possibly speed up the process. Dr Reddy knows he's the only specialist, so he's got you over a barrell and his actions show it.

This Dr. is knowledgable but rude. Has a jealous streak when he knows you have other Dr's. as well as him.

His office staff is great, kind and courteous. However, Reddy himself was rude, abrupt and made it blatantly clear that he didn't care a bit. He expects the patient to know what he/she has before even coming to the office and instead of explaining the diagnosis he gives you a pamphlet and leaves you to figure out everything on your own. He said he made medication recommendations in my chart for my primary care doctor but she never received them.
