Dr. Alan Bernard Kantor, MD

Dr. Alan Bernard Kantor is outstanding Doctor!!! He was my Doctor for many, many years, until he moved to California just a few years ago!!! He was an outstanding Doctor and who truly cared for the good of his patients!!! Miss him greatly!!!! I could say so much more, but I’ll stop for now!!!

This was my first visit with Dr. Kantor, On this visit I felt comfortable to talk to him about my problem, He in return explained everything to me and made me understand and guided me what to do. I had a Dr. that talked to you, and made me feel like everything is going to be ok. Thank you Dr. Kantor.

I have. Even a patients of dr K for over 20 years. As time has passed I have become more and more reluctant to return to see him. We have nearly become “friends” but I have to admit his bedside manner is absolutely horrible and downright scary at times. He is known to have that “reputation” but I have continued to see him because of “history” with him and because I thought he was an expert in his field. His office staff is also MISERBLE and RUDE! After much thought I have decided to leave his practice because I can no longer deal with his “antics” and unprofessional behavior. Sad to me because I really do like him but he has really gotten out of control! I have moved on to find a wonderful doctor with a caring and predictable bedside manner who also happens to be more brilliant than Dr K. Find someone else...not worth the humiliation.

PERSONALITY BAD

Dr. Kantor is diagnostically brilliant; thoughtful; has wide ranging medical knowledge; and has a host of practical medical skills (like drawing blood well on difficult patients). He advocates for his patients forcefully and follows up diligently. Please be prepared for his sarcastic humor -- if you don't like this sort of joking you might prefer another, duller physician.

I've had hypothyroid for about 25yrs with a strong family HX of thyroid disease and diabetes. After my first visit, he put me back on track and never felt better. I sleep better, lost weight and feel normal again! Dr. Kantor really knows his stuff and I would recommend to everyone. Don't believe the rumors, he has a great personality and is very smart. Then again, I don't need a hand holder, I need a matter of fact doc!

KANTOR IS REALLY A GOOD GUY AND A TRULY GREAT DOCTOR

I see a lot of people posting negative reviews. this Dr. is amazing I don't care is he curses, jokes or makes insults. the bottom line is he is amazing in his field and got to the bottom of my issues where 4 prior doctors couldn't. BTW I found his jokes and cursing amusing it made me realize that I was dealing with a real person not some College educated robot.

Worst Doctor I have ever seen. Absolutely no follow up after appt. Changed my meds with my pharmacy without calling me and discussing with me. Does not care about patients. Doesn't return calls or emails. Doesn't seems to care about well-being of patients. Very disappointing. Also very inappropriate and seemed intoxicated during appointment. Highly discourage anyone from going to see this man with something so serious and sensitive as an endo issue. He doesn't get it or care or have the empathy to deal with it.

Dr Kantor is a great diagnostician and super smart. He has a unique sense of humor.
