Dr. Alan Leslie Schuricht, MD

After Dr. Schuricht repaired my hernia I suffered chronic pain. Along with complications related to the surgery, his bedside manner was concerning. He commented how awkward it was after I hugged my Dad before going into the operating room, he did not visit me in the recovery room after surgery, and he cursed frequently. I underwent a corrective surgery which revealed Dr. Schuricht's surgical technique was the source of my problems, along with possible permanent damage. I sent a formal letter of complaint to Penn Medicine and am satisfied with their response. However, I still recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in hernias if you need one repaired.

This doctor is indeed self centered and arrogant, but the best surgeon who did operate on me for hernia problems. finding out later that there were more hernias noticed before the surgery. I believe 2018. I had part of my colon removed in 2017, non cancerous , advance prostate cancer 2005 until 2016 , stage 4 but here I am. This Doctor is in my opinion did the best he can do, he is only human and I trust God is in this person. People, stop complaining, he is in control despite his demeanor, I TOTALLY TRUST HIM.

Doctor schuricht is an upmost professional and highly skilled surgeon. Made me feel comfortable with the procedure.

This doctor was referred to me by my primary care doctor . He was arrogant and dismissive and most importantly WRONG. His misdiagnosis cost me an extra surgery, a huge amount of additional recovery, and nearly my life. Arrogance in a general surgeon is a dangerous combination. Stay away
