Dr. Aldemir T Coelho has the following 1 specialty
- Family Medicine
A family practitioner is a doctor who specializes in caring for people of all ages, at all stages of life. Rather than focusing on the treatment of one disease or patient population, family practitioners are often the doctors that people see for their everyday ailments, like cold and flu or respiratory infections, and health screenings. When necessary, family practitioners will provide referrals for conditions that require the expertise of another specialist.
The doctors may also provide physicals, inoculations, prenatal care, treat chronic diseases, like diabetes and asthma, and provide advice on disease prevention.

I saw Doctor Coelho after seeing a number of different doctors that were not able to give me any answers. I was having high blood pressure, heart palpitations, anxiety, depression, numbness of my hands and feet, dizzy spells, and shortness of breath. After a couple of ER visits (which gave me no answers) I was told to see a cardiologist. I had a primary doctor and a endocrinologist that I saw for my thyroid but they were not able to help me and passed me off to another doctor. I was on seven different medications for all the different symptoms I was having. I was with Dr Coelho for less than 10 min before he had all the answers to my issues. He stated it was not my heart ( after running some test) but that it was my thyroid. I stated that my thyroid was "under control" according to both my primary physician and my endocrinologist. He polity disagreed. After running a full panel on my thyroid and changing my medication ALL the symptoms stopped! It has been 6 years now and not one symptom returned. I take only one medication now and it is a natural thyroid medicine not a synthetic. I am forever grateful that he took the time to listen to me and took what I was saying serious. The other doctors would not. He was very kind and caring. I recommend him to everyone.
I have been with a chronic illness for 9 years and I have seen many doctors (at least 15 or 17) and American graduate doctors have not been able to diagnose me all type of blood work, radiological test, endoscopies, etc. But Dr Coelho pin pointed the problem in 5 minutes, I couldn't believe it! right away he did a acupuncture treatment (without needles, a treatment that has been around x 12 years if I remember correctly the improvement of my pain was drasctic the next day which has made me to make a decision to try the acupuncture treatment for at least 3 months and see how my body will react which I already feel has high possibility of working. Dr Coelho is not quick to popping pill into you unless is really, really, really needed. His staff is great for what I gathered his medical assistants are Doctors from Cuba. Cuba and Brazil are famous for their excellent medical school training without running a bunch a unneeded medical test but listening and examining the patient, I'm more than impressed with this medical office. I agree with the comments of other patients here...it is beyond me that in 4 years no comments when Dr Coelho is a gem, a rare pearl of a Doctor, a real Doctor who has huge experience and knowledge, excellent bedside manners, you really can see that he loves what he does, he is a real humanitarian, he very kind for him patients are first and he and his team are here "to help" us/the patients/the ill/the sick. Dr Coelho is an Angel Walking this earth. I highly recommend him, none of all the doctors that I have seen in the last 9 years come even close or can be compared to Dr Coelho. God bless Dr Coelho and his excellent team! Thank for being here we ( the patients/the ill/the sick/the ones who have lost their health) are so lucky to have them here in the valley.
I'm 57 years old and was recently referred to Dr. Coehlo. Like most new clients it was necessary for me to fill out an extensived and detailed questionnaire. I noticed the office wasn't "slick" like some other Drs' offices I had been to. It was clean and had the usual outdated magazines. His staff was immediately attentive to me, and after submitting the questionaire it was only a few minutes before I was escorted into the obligatory opertory where my blood pressure and weight were taken. His Head Nurse Valerie also reviewed the answers to the medical questions I had provided. She was sincerely interested in my well-being. It wasn't faked. It was real. She took her time getting to know me and the medical problem I was there for.Very professional, articulate and knowledgeable, while simultaneously being very personable. When finished she said the Dr. would be in to see me soon. I wondered how long I would have to stay "cooped up" waiting for the doctor's "entrance". I had previously written down the questions I wanted to ask the Dr. when I got to see him. I was hoping to get at least one or two in before, like most other doctors, he cut me off and blew out the door to see his next patient. To my surprise it wasn't more than 5 minutes before he walked in. His head Nurse was with him. Suddenly a dialogue began with the Doctor Coehlo, his Head Nurse Valerie, and me. I was thinking this was what the people who went to the Mayo Clinic experience, but not me - just a patient at his first appointment. The Doctor stayed with me for almost a half an hour, and only discontinued our conversation when I had no more questions. He then directed his staff to schedule appropriate tests for me. He took hist time to explain exactly why he was ordering certain tests, and why the results of the tests were important to my treatment. He was friendly with a complete abscence of pomposity, as was his head nurse and other staff members. When the appointment finished, and I was about to leave I almost forgot to stop and take care of the bill, including the presentation of my insurance. It was just then I realized that prior to my going in to see Dr. Coehle his staff never asked me for money, or insurance. It was only after the appointment did they politely tell me the quite reasonable charges, and accepted my insurance. Almost kiddingly I asked them what would have happened if after the appointment I didn't have insurance or enough money to pay. They said that happens sometimes, but that Dr. Coehlo insisted he help the patient first and if they were unable to pay that would be alright. I was taken aback, and as I thanked them and left I could only describe my experience with Dr. Coehlo and his staff as a throw back to the days when I was a child and the Doctor would make house visits with his little black bag. I would so highly recommend Dr. Coehlo if you are seeking a doctor and a staff who are motivated by service to patients first, and among all else. Thank you Dr. Coehlo, Valerie, and a wonderful staff...........Maybe you shgould get some new magazines though. APC - Very Satisfied Patient
