Dr. Alexander Kandabarow, MD

Dr. Kandabarow doesnt waste time on anything. He came in, explained to me what was going on. Gave me my options. I was in surgery in less than a week. And back on my feet the day I left the hospital, which was the next day. My back give me zero issues. I golf, play ice hockey, bowl, officiate sports and work hard. No problems at all. I highly recommend him.

Workmans comp doctors stick together! This doctor cannot stand by his professional opinion. He needs to play the wait and see game as to what the other workmans comp doctor has to say. Of course, if one says yes and the other says no.....guess what? You as the patient with the work injury are screwed! Uphill battle that gets harder to climb because of the severe pain that gets worse every day!

I went there he was rude. I was misdiagnosed. Thank God I got second opinion. If you have a twisted ankele maybe he qualify s gave A person knows when something off with themselves. I'm an Accountant with a large firm down downtown. I fell hard while snow skiing this winter and had severe back pain everyday. Was refered by Saint Clair Hospital. I hade been living with a herniated disk. I missed work and if I didn't get a second opinion I could of lost my job. I'm athletic and don't smoke. Im 42 and when I asked for something for pain you would think I asked for a million dollars. This affected my family life. I since had much needed surgery and back on my feet PAIN FREE . Consumer beware!!!!!!!

Do not go there. Was misdiagnosed for a whole year in severe pain. Treated like a pill seeker when my neck was fractured and other severe problems. I thought it was depression. Depression causes pain. Psychiatrist loaded me up with psy meds that were not needed. The smerk on that bastards face when I asked for something just to sleep. Medication complaints on notes. Yeah jerk compression on nerves, my neck didn't heal right. Now I'm a true mess. Thanks for ruining my life. Not only did you affect mine the others around me. I was an active executive now I'm a welfare case that has to fix the mess you misdiagnosed. Treat animals jerk they don't catch on to the smerks and rude comments. Are you going to pay the shrink bill I didn't need?????? Are you gonna buy me a new bed that's ruined??? I'm madder than a bobcat on a hot plate. Oh how about loss income?? I was offered a good job that I could not do. Thanks SMERK

If you got good insurance I would highly reccomend your options. When a doctor looks at you makes rude remarks about your looks and laughs when you ask something serious its time to get out of there. I left crying. Thinking I was just emotional because of my injuries I went back. Bad move. He's really a jerk. Unless your a jock or have a decent income your crap. My friend goes to him and she says he's wonderful. She also was a local model. I was treated like garbage. I wouldn't send my cat there. I was dressed nice was pleasant to him and he literally laughed in my face. I felt like I was in high school and ran into the mean bully. I went to another doctor and I'm so happy I did. I never doctor jumped until then. Im not being sensitive he's really rude. The staff is great, but they can't treat you... Unfortunately

he can not communicate with patients and is very evasive when questions are asked. He is very much on the defensive and often contracts what he said on previous visits. Don't trust him!

I was quit shocked and pleased with my first appointment , life is about 95 percent listening and most in life find that to be most difficult. The other 5 percent is reacting and I am pleased to say that my visit was in that order. He was kind thoughtful, did not guess conclusions and best of all he was listening. I will soon have my much needed MRI's and I trust he will know were to go with the information. I do not easily impressed, but I will say after the first visit I am extremely impressed.

In my opinion, Dr. Kandabarow is an excellent surgeon. He may not want to sit and have a conversation for any amount of time, but I did not see him to be my friend. He is right to the point and does not mince any words about your condition. He explained the condition to us in detail and gave us the options. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

This doctor has the personality of a zombie. He didn't spend more that 5 minutes in the exam room with me and said my condition was normal wear and tear. An MRI showed arthritis, bulging discs and mild stenosis. What a waste of time. I can now see why he isn't affiliated with UPMC as he doesn't have any diagnostic skills whatsoever.
