More about Alexander Nicoloff
Dr. Nicoloff is a board-certified vascular surgeon whose practice now focuses entirely on the treatment of venous disease, including venous insufficiency, varicose veins, DVT and venous ulcers. Dr. Nicoloff was born and raised in Minnesota. He received a BA in Biology from Middlebury College, in Vermont. He attended University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis where he graduated with honors.
Dr. Nicoloff completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. He then completed a 3-year residency in Vascular Surgery at OHSU, including 2 years of research. He went on to complete a fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at the Arizona Heart Institute.
After completing his specialty training, he practiced Vascular Surgery in Portland, Oregon for 20 years, where he was on staff at Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center, Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center and Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. His comprehensive vascular practice covered the entire spectrum of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, including the care of patients with diseases of the aorta, carotid arteries, arteries to the legs and vascular trauma. In addition, he developed an expertise treating complicated patients with deep venous obstruction and blood clotting in the legs. In April 2019 he joined the Inovia Vein Specialty Clinics and now performs exclusively office-based minimally invasive vein procedures at the practice located in NW Portland.
Dr. Nicoloff is a member of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists, the Edward B. Diethrich Vascular Surgical Society, and the American Vein and Lymphedema Society. He lives in Portland with his wife, daughter, and son, and their Golden Retriever, Bruno, where they enjoy the Blazers, Timbers and the great outdoors.
