My MRI showed severe spinal stenosis, along with two badly herniated discs and spondylolisthesis, which had been causing horrific glute, leg and lower back pain for about 18 months. After hearing about my desire to get back to my previous activity level, Dr. Turkmani recommended a two-level spinal fusion of L4, L5 and SI. Now, at 8 weeks post-op, I am completely pain-free. He is a highly skilled neurosurgeon who impressed me with his quiet confidence and commitment to ensuring I had a successful result from the surgery. I recommend him without hesitation.

He's the best of the best. Mayo is lucky to have him at their hospital. My husband was rushed to the hospital with head bleed. Dr.Turkmani was very straightforward but gentle in his approach to the family. The endovascular procedure performed went exceptionally well. Twelve days after knocking on death's door my husband walked out of the hospital and is today in better health than before this event. Dr Turkmani's bedside manner, professionalism, and clinical ability are the best we've ever dealt with.
