Dr. Alicia Amelia Guevara, MD

Dr. Guevara is probably the best doctor I have ever had (and I'm 57 years old so I've had a few!). She is intelligent, informed, experienced, thorough, and here's where she rises above the rest...she understands that the body is not just a knee or a headache, it is a complex connected whole system, all this while being warm, compassionate, fun and friendly. I ask for her specifically when I semi annually need Urgent Care and I really wish she would become a primary care physician so that I can be her first patient.

This DR is officially the worst DR I've ever personally been seen by. Very rude, arrogant, unprofessional, and tried to tell you how your body feels all while disagreeing with you at every possible chance to speak. She is very uncompassionate. This was the worst urgent care experience that we've had and we will never go back again. Check out her google reviews as well. Everyone says the same thing about this DR. She has a google review rating of "1 star" which is quite frankly the absolute worst rating google can give. For the sake of your patients DR. Guevara, if you actually read these comments, please try thinking about the initial reason you originally wanted to be a DR. and re-evaluate the way you treat people. You seem like you have the potential of being a nice person so if this job has you burned out, go take a nice vacation or a break and then come back fresh and caring. Your patients don't deserve to all be treated like they are beneath you. Santa Barbara is a small… community and we should have listened to the others who have stated all the same very things about the way that you are and the way that you treat your patients.

I Waited 5 hours in an Urgent Care not an ER, this doctor was rude and slow, her company and VCMC should investigate complaints against her because she doesn't care about patient care. This facility has a lot of cleaning up to do and they should start with her.
