Dr. Alisa Lynn Sacker, MD

It is relatively easy to find a doctor who is knowledgeable of the science of medicine, but it is the art of 'doctoring' which separates the truly fine physicians from mere practitioners. Dr. Sacker has mastered this art. Not only is she pioneering in the field (the only pediatrician in the San Diego Kaiser system who is able to perform posterior frenectomy --a small but highly skilled operation for addressing a tongue tie in the back of the tongue which is a bane of breastfeeding mothers), but she is able to guide parents through all phases of child development. She seamlessly blends the science of medicine with the knowledge and support that parents need. Dr. Sacker has been our pediatrician with our 3 year-old and now our twins. Dr. Sacker is always prompt (always within the day, sometimes within the hour) in responding to our email questions, which is critical for busy parents. I drive 45 minutes out of our way to visit Dr. Sacker rather than the closer pediatricians. Highest… recommendations!
