Dr. Alissa Jo Kraisosky, MD

I met Dr. Kraisosky a year ago when I was fighting severe depression. She was incredibly kind and made me feel welcome. Over this last year I've done a complete 180 and it couldn't have been without her support and guidance. She is very thoughtful and thorough in her evaluation, and she really cares about her patients and wants the very best for them. She always gives great advice and recommendations every time I see her, and she always really listens to what I have to say. I'd recommend her to anyone feeling anxious about starting mental health treatment.

My overall experience with Dr. Kraisosky was excellent and I am not a big fan of the way doctors run offices these days. Dr. Kraisosky is very holistic in her approach to treatment. Also she is down to earth, easy to talk to, she listens (what a concept!), and offers integrated approaches to health----that is, health CARE instead of disease care. She was prompt, followed up with me by phone (rare these days), encouraging, and remarkably thorough. She even considered my diet, family setting, habits, etc. Her approach is that the mind-body-soul have to each be addressed for true healing. She also uses effective hypnotherapy (a medically-proven option) too. She also offered me alternatives to the common medications that were more precisely prescribed, this more targeted and efficacious. This is the only doctor I personally would recommend.

I would recommend her. She is empathetic and caring. She asks questions which most tend to not do. I feel like she really cares about her patients mental health.

Cold, disinterested and downright vicious best describe this so called doctor.She didn't even make an attempt to understand my concerns and issues.She just wasn't interested.She had absolutely no creativity in her use of medications.As far as displaying even the slightest bit of empathy and compassion it just never happened.Anyone who thinks that she is a wonderful psychiatrist has obviously never experienced the real deal. Believe me, Kraisosky is a fraud-pure and simple.She should have her license revoked.

... this is a good example again!Unfortunately the first commenter seems to lack the politeness of Dr K avoiding to display the own name... and still feels entitled to make comments.....Who ever wrote the first rating does obviously either not know Dr K or wants to cause damage to the reputation of a very professional, friendly and experienced doctor!Dr K is very skilled, displays an excellent client contact behavior, and tries to support the clients in any way possible to her. And this even against a mainstream opinion! A very good and reliable doctor you can trust as a client!

I had the opportunity to work with Dr. "K" at Kaiser. I found her very courteous and respectful. She listened to my concerns and Maybe a bit rushed, but that's the Kaiser system. I'm surprised this is written a year after she left. Maybe patients like you drove her out, hmm?

I had the extreme misfortune of being assigned to this doctor while she was working for Kaiser P. I found her to be cold, disinterested, and at times deliberately hurtful.Why this woman went into psychiatry is a mystery to me since she seemed incapable of displaying even the smallest bit of compassion and empathy toward her patients.I sincerely hope that I never ever come into contact with this person again.
