Have you seen Dr. Alkeshkumar Patel?
Posted on July 30th, 2013
Dr. Patel was assigned to me through Mercy Care/AHCCCS. I never even got to get in to see him. For no apparent reason, the receptionist was exceptionally rude to me, telling me that the doctor has not "chosen" to see me. I let her know that i had a substantial medical history including chemotherapy, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus and that if she wanted to send me any "new patient" forms to fill out before my appointment I would gladly do that to make any initial appointment go smoother. She cut me off to inform me that not only does she not mail anything to patients but they also would not assist with any pain management. RA and Lupus are incurable, which means pain management !I do not know if she was having a bad day but that abuse is unnecessary. I informed Mercy Care and will continue my search for a decent doctor to help me with my ongoing medical issues. He may be a good doctor, but she is a horrible receptionist.
