Dr. Allan Harvey Sklar, MD

After my disappointment with care that I had received from a local nephrologist, I sought a second opinion from Dr. Sklar. He explained my kidney illness in detail and managed it conservatively for years. He really allayed my fear and anxiety about my condition. He eventually referred me to a transplant center where I had a kidney transplant done which has worked out extremely well and I am feeling great. I never had to go on dialysis. Dr Sklar saved my life.

Save your life... go elsewhere! Incompetent, unorganized, bumbling fool. My husband was unknowingly in stage 3 kidney failure when he first went to Dr. Sklar for his high blood pressure. Dr. Sklar neglected to mention that small fact. Three years later husband is in end stage renal disease and Sklar was well aware of the progression. NEVER did he tell us my husband had kidney disease until his kidneys were in the final days of failing. Run, run, run to another doctor.
