Dr. Allen H Shah, MD

This doctor is horrible. He has absolutely no bed-side manners nor does he care about your pain. He provides no care and has talks down to you. This guy does the bare minimum which makes me want a refund of my office visit since I can get the same result from doing a Google search. What a scam!

I saw Dr. Shah for back pain I was experiencing. When the Dr. Shah's office insisted I come in for separate appts (pushed by the MA via phone call) - my pain level and symptom-related questions were not supported or taken seriously. His exams were not thorough whatsoever and I felt bullied discussing my concerns and his recommendations. The last visit was a complete waste of time and money as he had NOTHING to say or do and reiterated exactly what his MA had said over the phone, after he insisting that I come into his office. Do not see this provider. He does not show good care, intentions, or professionalism when it comes to physical medicine and patient care - this is unsafe and highly concerning. He seemed sexist and ageist in my experience. I'm seeing very similar comments and reviews on various sites and wish I had researched Dr. Shah before scheduling with him.

Was $640 Dollar for inital 10minute consultation - unethical. Did see an epidural as the only option. Epidural did not work. $2000 Dollars later and one more 10minute/$600 Dollar session and he gave no alternatives. I am a student, was in pain for nothing for 2 weeks. Now I am broke. Thanks, Doc

He's probably a reasonably nice guy, but it's hard to fight through the craziness in order to get to that. For instance, as a spine specialist, if your problem has even the tiniest bit to do with anything in addition to spinal function, he goes nuts over-explaining that that's not his area and he can't discuss it. On the obsessive/compulsive scale, he's off the top of the chart. Also, he's totally allergic to women.
