Dr. Devine was my father's endocrinologist. We really liked her, she was nice and the office was clean, her reviews were all great. If you read the reviews for heart and health you will discover they don't return calls, or send out prescriptions. I unfortunately did not read those reviews until it was too late.
For whatever reason Dr. Devine never called in my father's prescriptions after his visit feb 2025. I reached out to the office to see what was the delay. I have left multiple messages both on the practice voicemail, as well as with multiple person answering the phones, no one calls you back. His pharmacy left multiple messages. Dr. Devine had given us her cell phone number, we even left a message there, all went ignored.
I decided since i could not get a call back about medication i needed to come into the office and hopefully then i could get an answer. About a month ago, we came in for a second visit, where we discovered that the office did not even have his correct… pharmacy information, I figured this must have been the problem, my father's prescription coverage requires him to use 3 different pharmacies, so I can understand how a mix up can happen! I do not understand why the office didn't call us or the pharmacies back, but still I tried to be understanding, mistakes happen and the Levittown office where we first went was still very new.
To my understanding, I straightened all confusion out at this visit, I provided all the correct pharmacy information verbally, as well as I typed it out, printed it and provided it to the medical assistant who took my fathers vitals. All of the pharmacy information had been provided both verbally (In person, over the phone, and on voicemail), and in writing, numerous times.
We left this visit thinking Dr. Devine said she was calling in his medications and supplies. Yet here we are several weeks later and no medications have been prescribed, No supplies, No phone calls have been returned! My husband decided to leave a review, to which the practice immediately responded, apologizing, and told us to please reach out again via phone or email. so that was our next step, I sent them an extremely detailed email with all of the above information as well as all the information typed out yet again of what prescriptions were needed and where they may be sent.. 12 hours later, we received a call from a very unhappy Dr.Devine. To quote her, it was not nice that I sent an email, and that she was upset she had to take time away from her many patients in order to read my email.... Just a reminder I sent this email after 4 months of unreturned phone calls, and the practice themselves telling me to reach out via email.... Dr. Devine also had no explanation other than she never received any of the messages about the prescriptions, which I do not believe but even if it were true, as a doctor, when you visit with a patient and say you're going to prescribe them medicine, no one should have to remind you to actually do it.. I once again explained to her that I find that hard to believe since I have called every heart and health office I could find a phone number for, multiple times, and I called Dr. Devine's own cell phone, how could it be that all those messages went unnoticed??
No further explanation was given, Dr. Devine also asked me again to list for her all my fathers medications and supplies and where they should go, despite the fact she has now been provided this information at least 10 times, the latest time in a typed out PDF that I sent attached to the email she claims to have had to take time away from patients to read.
Dr. Devine and I agreed on one thing though, she suggested we find a new endocrinologist, which I can could not agree more, we will be finding a new endocrinologist. I would say anyone who wants a doctor who answers calls, actually fills prescriptions, and doesn't scold you for emailing the practice after being told to, look elsewhere; because according to Dr. Devi
