Dr. Alton Douglas Burgett, MD

Absolutely terrifying this doctor is still in practice!! Do a quick search on local mom fb groups and see what others say about this monster! I would stay so far away from this "doctor" and his staff. I cannot stress enough how awful he is.

Dr. Burgett is AMAZING. He is calm and reassuring. He never doubted my opinions and thoughts during my pregnancy and after. Being pregnant I was a mess at multiple appointments and he was always kind and concerned. You’ll wait a while for some appointments but it is absolutely worth it to have such great care. He truly cares about his patients.

Lied about the surgery mistake, I got an-abscess, very bad infection almost died. Terrible job. Prolapse bladder. Never trust a liar.

Went in for an annual exam (covered 100%) and he also billed me for a regular office visit because we discussed subjects "outside of the annual visit". A visit on the same day at the same time as another visit- now owing a copay. Are we not supposed to talk to a doctor about issues without being charged for it? Totally crap. He also billed my insurance $55 for tobacco counseling WHICH HE DID NOT DO. Distinctly asked if I wanted to quit smoking and to make an appointment to look at my options. I won't be going back!!!!

Dr Burgett is absolutely amazing hands down the best doctor I’ve ever seen. He really took the time every time I saw him to meet my needs when I was pregnant with my second daughter and it was a rough pregnancy for sure. He made me feel comfortable at each visit which says a lot because he’s the only male doctor I’ve ever felt comfortable around. His personality makes him extremely easy to talk to which makes it easy to open up about things with my health. I will definitely be going back to Dr Burgett in the future when I have more kids and my other health needs. Thank you Dr Burgett for always being so amazing!!!!!

Dr. Burgett has delivered both of my sons. I have seen him for 10 plus years and he has always been supportive to my needs. I have recommended him to a few individuals and they have had a great experience. He has a great personality,unfortunately not a lot of people have that anymore. He always makes you feel comfortable and takes him time to answer your questions and concerns.

Horrible, AWFUL doctor, office and staff! Terrible. From Patti in the scheduling department mixing me up with another patient with the same last name, utter and complete mishandling of sensitive information and insurance approvals on surgery dates, ordering unnecessary medical tests, LYING and blaming the insurance; to me, the patient, being blamed for their mistakes; to the doctor treating me so incredibly unkindly and interrupting questions about surgery by commenting, "So are we doing this surgery or not?" Before walking out as I'm in my hospital gown minutes away from surgery, I cannot express enough to people to run run run as far as you can from this practice and this doctor! So wrong the way I was treated and continuing to be treated! RUN!

He has been an amazing doctor. He has made me feel so comfortable for my first time being pregnant. I saw several other doctors prior to getting pregnant and they all made me feel uncomfortable, so I was nervous what it would be like after getting pregnantâ?¦but Dr. Burgett has been awesome!!
