Dr. Amanda J. Backlund

Dr Backlund is without a doubt the best Dr I have ever had!!! Just as an example I had been having bladder related issues off n on for several years and had seen several urologists but to no avail. We Backlund not only knew what the problem was but she knew how to remedy it. I have had no problems with this issue since. Knowledge is not enough to be a Dr. You have to be intuitive and logical as well. These are very important attributes that make for a good Dr. and she’s got them!

I saw Dr. Amanda Backlund for possible shingles and chest congestion. She did not listen to my lungs, look in my nose or throat, feel my throat for inflammation, or look at my other skin areas. I had a small spot with a rash. I lifted my shirt and she immediately said “shingles” and turned away to her notepad. She stayed that she would prescribe an antiviral med and refill an inhaler I had before then reached to open the door to exit the room. I told her I read material about shingles before my appointment and asked her how do we know the rash is shingles and she stayed “because that is what it is” with no more explanation in a very rude voice. She then was going to walk out again and I asked her to tell me about the antiviral med she prescribed. She stayed “it’s to treat shingles” with no more explanation than that. I am in my mid 50’s and work in a precessional job. I also have seen numerous physicians over many years with my myself, 3 kids, husband, and elderly parents so I… know that is professional level and what is not. Dr. Backlund clearly lacks professionalism, patient interest, caring attitude, and seemed annoyed with spending just a few moments to respond to my questions. I left wondering why she chose to be a physician that deals with the public when she clearly lacked any interest in my issue. I will definitely share this with my family, friends and colleagues to avoid this disappointment in a physician. There are many other physicians that exemplifify professional, informed, quality, caring behavior.

I really thought Ms Backlund was just the best. Your bookkeeper is nasty to clients. I was threatened by her for collection; I have been paying every month on the money that I owed. I can only do what I can do.
