DR. RANAWAT OPERATED ON MY HIP WHICH HAD BEEN DAMAGED BY A SURGEON OUTSIDE THE US. OVER THE YEAR, I HAD CONSULTED WITH HIM ABOUT GROIN AND HIP PAIN. HIS RECOMMENDATIONS WERE CONSERVATIVE SUGGESTING THAT I NOT HAVE PT OFTEN AS I HAD 3 X WEEK. SIMPLY WALK AND WALK AND I WILL HEAL. I REDUCED PT AS EACH TIME OF PT I FELT GOOD RIGHT AFTER THERAPY, BUT RETURNED TO GROIN AND HIP PAIN BY EVENING. THE PT PERSON AGREED FOR ME TO TAKE A REST FROM THIS SERVICE. IT'S BEEN SEVERAL DAYS AND I AM ABLE TO WALK WITHOUT ANY SORT OF DISCOMFORT. DOCTOR RANAWAT CONSERVATIVE IN APPROCH GAVE ME GOOD ADVICE.
Dr. Ranawat was my fourth surgeon regarding my very cimplicated revision knee replacement surgery with possible partial tibial removal. I have read comments of other patients on his awful bed manners, but what I got was well beyond that. It was pretty much 2 min apt after waiting bundrend times longer for him to appear in front of me. He even dud not touch my leg/knee, he refused to answer my questions stating that it is his job to do a surgery and maje decisions and I do not need to know the details. I am professor at an yniversity, so I had reasonable questions to ask and reasonable concerns to share. I am not sure if he even looked at all those xRs, ct-scans, blood work results which I provided. His nurse, barely speaking English, stated several tumes that he can not open duscs wuth images, his PA assistant quickly jumped into my exam room asking about my infection history.... after 2 min Dr. Ranawat said that I must schedule a surgery. When my husband and I enter the room of surgeries coordinator we became speechless seeing that 6-8 knee replacement surgeries are usually scheduled for one day--what is that? Assembly line?! Is it ridiculous or what?! Also I was told that this doctor does not have any special days for truly complucated prolong cases like mine. He makes surgeries only Mon and Tue at Hospital for special surgeries, and obviously does not care if a patient who hopes to survive must wait in an agony another 6 wks for a surgery. After we keft, I did not hear a single word or get a single call from Dr. Ranawat office until yesterday when pretty angry sounded nurse called and w/o any greetings asked if I confurm or cancel a surgery. Are you kidding me?! Maybe Dr Ranawat is brilliant, but he has definitely an awful personality, zero of respect, and truly shows that besides "assembly line of knees and hips" which provide him with enough of money to buy multi-million condo at the Upper West side he does not care at all
