Dr. Amarbir Singh Mattewal, MD

This doctor is the absolute worst doctor ever. He never keeps an appointment. Every time that we have had an appointment it has gotten canceled and they want to reschedule months later. We were in the hospital for 8 days with pneumonia and could not get a 2 week follow up appointment within 3 months of discharge. This was the second time with pneumonia this winter. The first time he canceled the appointment and just called in an antibiotic saying he was too busy with Harvey patients. I only have one working lung, but don’t rank high enough to ever be seen! Also constantly says he’ll come up with a solution to my lung problem, but never hear from him. Do not go to him unless you want to be very frustrated!

Was transferred to Dr. Mattewal from another doctor (in same office) who moved out of the country. The initial visit, with this doctor, was not good. Went like this: He wanted a chest xray, a working xray of my diaphragm and a breathing test and wanted to see me in 3 months. THREE MONTHS, I am there because of symptoms and need to know some results much sooner than that. Got to the nurses station and she said he wanted to see me in 1-1/2 months, I questioned that, she checked and he wanted to see me in 2-1/2 months. HUH? Because of my insistance sch appt for 1 month. Was handed xray orders(plural). Had xray taken. Next day I called his office and questioned the fact he wanted a diaphragm xray. Sure enough he did. Then next day I called his office questioning that he wanted me to take a breathing test. Sure enough he did. Hmmmmm. I have a results appt soon of which I will keep so there will be a history of the results on record in his system then, for sure, I am having my history and… xray films transferred to another doctor. Maybe he was having a bad day? I, by any means, can not recommend this doctor. Use your own judgement and good luck.
