Dr. Amy Chang

This woman is awful!! Completely dismissed my daughter's concern about hair loss and a few weeks after my daughter's visit to her she was bald!!! My daughter had to seek help from a qualified Boston dermatologist to get help. I wouldn't send my dog to doctor Chan. No compassion for others. Oh and let me tell you what she said to a young woman who's losing chunks of hair, "you've got plenty of hair left!!" I'm so angry at what my daughter has endured bcuz of this irresponsible so-called doctor.

I saw Dr. Chang after I had been to urgent care and my PCP for a large lump with a hard red center,upon finding out I was on zoloft due to the fact I had lost my Mom suddenly she immediately told me it was probably a bug bite, mind you urgent care and my PCP couldn't figure out what it was and it was the middle of winter her solution was to tell me due to my OCD that I don't have not to touch it and she gave me an ointment that did nothing. Needless to say I would never see her nor reccomend her and btw she was very nice until she saw zoloft listed as one of my medications.

She's likely to hospitalize someone with the lack of attention and dismissive nature of her care. She was in the room for less than 10 minutes, after a 35 dollar copay, a 45 minute drive one way, and 8 sheets of paper that I filled out which she shredded all but the first page. She didn't even address my problems, was convinced it was acne induced diabetes, despite me having stabilized my condition years prior and my issues were more infection based, not even acne. She treated things I didn't make the appointment for (eczema) and I even told her that I wasn't there to be treated for that. She talked down to me, was condescending, and was actually rude, despite me being a patient she's known for years. I was treated like an inconvenience and she even directly told me that I was, because I requested for her to not have her male "scribe" be present during my visit in case I had a breast examination (nurse noted breast tenderness, but it didn't matter because she didn't even address it).… She told me how she needed her "scribe" because she isn't able to remember what she says or her prescription recommendations without him writing it down for her. That otherwise she has to write them herself or make notes herself. She got in my face and told me how next time he was going to be there regardless if I wanted him (or she'd get a female) and that I made her job a lot harder and that my request was inconvenient for her. I've never seen a doctor with a "scribe". Most just do their jobs themselves. She came off incredibly lazy, and was extremely rude to me for an invalid reason, which is incredibly unprofessional. It was almost as if she was trying to "punish" me for making her actually do part of her job. Great and friendly staff though. They were very accommodating and made me feel like a valued patient. Sadly, the doctor was not like them and I am never going back. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. Learned that I have a systematic infection and told her the symptoms that were indicative of it, and she just ignored me and gave me lifelong hormone supplement. I could've died from her carelessness if I had not gotten another opinion.

I needed to get in to Dr Chang in a hurry for her to check out a rash on my neck. I called in the morning and spoke with a helpful phone assistant and she said they would see if they could squeeze me in and call me back if so. I ended calling them back around 12:00 and spoke with an even more friendly/helpful phone assistant and I explained the urgency of me needing to try to be seen that day. He completely understood and agreed with me needing to be seen and not only did he e-mail the dr like the assistants normally do, he wrote on a note sticky the urgency of the appointment and stuck it to Dr.Chang's computer to make sure it was seen by her. Needless to say the best dermatologist took 5 minutes out of her crazy busy day to see me and confirm my rash on my neck was nothing and not contagious and I could go ahead and babysit for my great friend's new born baby as she is extremely sick and husband had to travel out of town and was all alone. The help and service I received in such a… short and timely manner exceeded anything that I've EVER dealt with at a dr's office and I 100% recommend Dr. Chang and her wonderful staff. I appreciate their help getting me seen so I could help out a friend. I refer all my friends and family to this practice, nobody compares and I've NEVER had a bad experience in all the years seeing Dr Any Chang

She was very patient and explained every thing clearly, so I was able to understand my condition.

This was my first experience with this Dr and I will never go back to her again!! I have a severe case of psoriasis on my scalp and was hoping she could give me something other than an oil or shampoo which I told her I have already tried and it is not working to help me. She said I could try laser light treatments but they probably are not covered on my insurance. She had zero compassion for my issue and I told her how upset and uncomfortable I was!! She should not be working with the public in that capacity. I highly anyone to go and try an other dermatologist other than HER!

Paid a $35 copay only to be seen for less than 5 minutes and told that the skin issues I was having were "all in my head" and there was nothing they could do. Dr. Chang did not answer one of my questions and just completely brushed me off. Very dissatisfied!

i have been very pleased with my visits with this doctor. She is very efficient, attentive and makes you feels at ease at your visits. She diagnosed my problem at the first visit after having gone to other dermatologists for many years prior. I have been very pleased with her care. Her staff are also very attentive and helpful also. I have recommended her to many of my friends and they were also pleased with her.

This was my first visit with Dr. Chang. It took me 3 months to make an appointment and the only reason I waited is due to my primary care recommendation of this doctor! She is not approachable at all did not spend any more than 5 minutes with me though I have a rash on my eye due to using ONE CVS Product!!! Instead sent me back and forth to her nurse for answers. Her only solution was for me to stop using EVERYTHING I have been using since birth i.e lotion,hair color,body scrubs & ETC...without giving me any explanation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE REGARDLESS OF HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE!!!

This is my second yearly appointment with Dr. Chang and I cannot say enough about her thorough examination and pleasant manner. I did not feel rushed and all my questions were answered. She is personable and her staff assistant Pat was also professional in her demeanor when preparing me for my visit with Dr. Chang.
