Dr. Amy Chang, MD

This was my first visit to the Anderson Outpatient Pavilion of Scripps Clinic. I needed to see an endocrinologist and my doctor recommended Dr. Amy Chang at the Scripps Clinic I'm La Jolla. Luckily, I could get a fast appointment with Dr. Chang. We got there about 45 minutes early. Luckily, there is a coffee place in the next building so we were able to get coffee and a scone that we took back to the waiting room. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. I was called just before my appointment time, had my vitals checked and shown to a room. Dr. Chang came in right after and listened very carefully to my medical history. She was very up-to-date on even my rare endocrine disorder. I felt very comfortable talking to Dr. Chang. I would definitely see Dr. Chang again. She is an excellent physician and I highly recommend her to anyone needing an endocrinologist.

I've been seeing her for well over a year now, and Dr. Chang does not take adequate notes, does not listen, is visibly surprised at everything I bring up, does not properly read correspondence before replying, screws up lab and prescription orders, and does not attempt to perform the most basic research when presented with a question she does not know the answer to. Find someone else- anyone else.

I took my father to see Dr. Amy Chang, the office staff was disorganized and blood work and a urine test were done. The Office kept calling the wrong number and when I called to request the results an unqualifed staff member read me notes from a screen. When I had questions on the results she couldn't answer any of my questions. I have been calling Dr. Chang for two weeks to discuss the results and she has never called me back. My Father is very sick and I get no response from Dr. Amy Chang.

Dr. Chang prescribed a low dose of a medication I had not come across in my own research. It solved a lifelong problem I have struggled with, related to PCOS. Very grateful; wish I would have come sooner!

She had me see a greek surgeon at Scripps for surgery. I wish I had not listened to her recommendations. The two of them ruined my life.

I have been to many Endocrinologists before going to Dr. Amy Chang. She was recommended to us by my husband's ENT doctor. Since I have a condition that not many doctors are familiar with the past Endos have been a great disappointment to me.She has been the best informed Endo I have been to! I am very pleased with her. I now have my husband seeing her too. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Chang was the best doctor I ever had. She was easy to talk to, listened to me, and believed everything I said. I never felt rushed. Unfortunately I had to change insurance because the price changed to triple the amount to keep Scripps. I hope some day the prices go down so I can switch back to her.
