Top notch Surgeon!!! Great care and great bedside manner!!!!

Dr. Murthy is amazing. We are so fortunate to have him in the Akron area.

I did research and he was supposed to be the best around. He did a horrible job on my daughter's laser surgery leaving her skin fried. She was just an infant and in so much pain. His office staff pretty much blew me off and he would never call me back. He always had his nurse taking his calls even though she had no experience with my daughter's type of surgery. I am extremely disappointed and would NEVER recommend him to anybody!

I would not choose to see Dr. Murthy again -- in fact, he refused to ever see me as a patient again. When I was sixteen (in 2010), I had a series of birthmark removal surgeries, and I went to Dr. Murthy for these operations at Akron Children's Hospital. He and Candace, who was kind of his "right-hand lady" seemed very kind and experienced. Besides a very painful ordeal, everything went fine until what was supposed to be my last surgery. I was given a 14 1/2 inch incision (much too large for the size of my birthmark) and was not prescribed any kind of antibiotic from Dr. Murthy's staff. Three days later, I came down with a 103 degree fever, two different kind of infections, and a blood clot the size of a grapefruit. I was rushed to the hospital and given an emergency surgery. Dr. Murthy even stated that if we had waited another day with the infection, I would have lost my leg. I'm eighteen years old now, and still having reconstructive surgeries. I've been through more pain than I ever… thought I would by this age, missed out on pieces of my young life, put my mother into debt, and am still dealing with physical conditions due to the extent of the infection. Dr. Murthy has since given up on my case and refused to do any type of reconstruction at my incision site. In a sense, he left me physically broken and ceased to try and fix me. Therefore, I am extremely disappointed with my experience spent as Dr. Murthy's patient.
