Initial visits were good as I had found this practice in the recent year and was searching for a urogynecologist in the area and seemed like good as it was focused on female health run by female doctors only so I would have assumed they would treat everyone including people of different color and backgrounds the same way. Although I have had good experiences at several occasions and a few different times of visit, noticed rude and unprofessional experiences in the recent days after I canceled a scheduled procedure that I had done some research after scheduling to find that wasn't the best option for me as it wasn't going to fix anything and rather therapeutical rather and may cause additional unwanted issues like possibly infections. Since I had canceled the procedure in the timely manner, I had noticed overall a vindictive treatment. A few doctors and nurses practitioners were fine there and was professional still but I had went in for a regular visit and requested a swab to check… for a follow-up infection and they said that they had issues with lab processing it for culture. So after a week of no response with the test result, I called back to find the result, no call back and communicated via text and they had apologized for inconvenience and asked to come back for a re-swab and receptionist was not professional with the check-in process. Afterwards no response after calling back within a few days for the result of 2nd re-swab. It has been weeks at this point with back and forth and still no outcome or result. Seems either discriminative, unprofessional, and/or somehow business oriented. Not patient oriented.

Dr Pezzella did surgery a couple of weeks ago and I can't thank her enough! For years I couldn't sneeze, laugh or cough without peeing my pants, but Dr Pezzella fixed all of that and gave me a much improved quality of life. The only complaint I have is that I waited so long to get this done!! I was scared to have surgery, but Dr Pezzella's competence and bedside manner put me at ease. She's an amazing Dr and has a wonderful, caring staff.

No mistakes made here in choosing this doctor to do my reconstructive surgery. Before surgery, I thought I was confined to a sedentary lifestyle for the rest of my life. However, since surgery, my quality of life has improved greatly. This doctor has great bedside manners and staff members were friendly and helpful..

After several trips to another Dr. I was referred here and finally able to get answers and help. I have had symptoms for over two years. Finally symptom free

this dr. should not even be called a dr. she made a holly mess for me i have had to go to another dr. and have all she did undone because she had the sling so tight that my urine was backing up in my kindeys to tjhe point i counld not even go to the bathroom,now its been 2 months since my sugery and i am having to start over.

From the moment I arrived at Southern Urogynecology, I felt secure in my decision to come there. I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff, who went above and beyond at helping me fill out my paperwork and explain what would take place at my visit. Dr. Pezzella and her clinical staff were warm, caring and listened patiently as I explained my history and what I was currently experiencing. I feel completely confident with the plan of care she has initiated. I wish all practices could have the compassion and warmth that I experienced here.
