Dr. Andrea Lynn Utz, MD

Dr. Utz is very professional and respectful. She is a great doctor. I totally trust her as my physician.

Dr. Utz is awesome. Explains things very well and takes the time to answer all your questions.

Was told to see her in five years for a follow up and when I called to make appointment I was told that since I haven't seen her in three years I am now considered a new patient. I have to now set-up a new patient appointment before I can get my scan scheduled and will then have to set-up another appt to see her for the results of scan. This is unacceptable to me. I should have been told this prior to this. If I had known all this, I would have set my appt up within the three-year timeframe.

Seems very knowledgeable but will not reply to emails or refill prescriptions.

Dr Utz is kind and understanding. She takes time to explain your health issues and options. I have been a patient of hers for almost 10 years. I would not see another doctor!

She is very thorough, short and sweet and to the point! That’s the way I like it!

I was taken back almost immediately and my vitals taken...from there it went downhill FAST....The woman NEVER even touched me... there's NO WAY she could even decide my symptoms or concerns were or weren't warranted...without even doing anything requiring her to examine me.It's ridiculous that you take a day off from your regular daily routine and it's totally WASTED because you don't feel like you were even given a chance to be heard.

Dr Utz is very knowledgeable and professional. She took the time to ask the right questions to build a report, and also answered all of my questions. Something that I really appreciated was the fact that she didn't just order tests and bloodwork for the heck of it, which has been my experience with other doctors since this is a rare condition. Very friendly and easy to talk to.

If you'd like a doctor who doesn't listen and only tests your tsh and sends you out the door, here's your doc. I brought in lab results she didn't even look at. Had questions she didn't take time to answer. If you're hypothyroid and looking for answers, don't even bother with this doctor. Although I had all the tell-tale symptoms of hypothyroidism, she tested only my tsh which came back as low. Based on this single blood test, she reduced the synthroid to a point my hair started falling out left and right. I finally seeked out a different doctor and had my free T4 and free T3 tested which came back as wayyyy low. In other words, because of this doctor and her closed-minded means of diagnosis, I went from bad to worse. Dr. Papagiannis with Vanderbilt was no better. Don't waste your time with either of these doctors.

Needs to be more open to hypothyroidism testing other then that she's the best
