Dr. Andrew Wells Moulton, MD

Dr Moulton use to be a fine doctor when I initially began seeing him several years ago. Most recently, I returned with further spine issues and was not met by the same man. Dr Moulton shows very little empathy, patience &/or concern, imo. I think he is overwhelmed with being in practice on his own and operating out of two different locations. Neither location is near the other. Problem. I will be looking further for a more caring & qualified physician to address my current spine needs. My advice is to stay clear and look at the numerous other options available to care for any spine issue(s) you may have. If you choose to see Dr Moulton all I can say is good luck.

It appears that this Dr. Runs either hot or cold. My experience was definitely far from warm . Drove all the way to his office to pick up a referral for a follow up X-ray., in a neck brace after finding someone who’d take me all the way there. Spent about 4 min. With the doctor. This was a follow up appt.And all I got was ‘your’ neck is broken, no hello, no good bye. The staff was warm and understanding and changed my referral for a closer x-ray. Bedside manner, was condescending..

I have been to many orthopedic surgeons due to multiple complex neck and back issues. We chose Dr. Moulton for his academic and medical credentials. The huge bonus is that he is also the most compassionate doctor of any specialty I've ever visited. To determine the best solution for my problem, he intensely studied my MRI's, X-rays and medical history, He is self-confident but not your typical egotistical doctor. He patiently listened to my symptoms; no part of any appt. was ever rushed.. Due to my especially complex spine surgery (C-5 - Pelvis fusion), my husband and I had many questions and concerns. Dr. Moulton kindly answered our questions, probably repeating many, on our several visits prior to finally deciding to have the surgery. After only 3 months, my life quality is so much better! Complete recovery will take about a year, but due to Dr. Moulton's expertise and special care, I am certain the positive changes will continue to enhance my quality of life. If you want the… best orthopedic surgeon, go see Dr. Moulton. He also speaks fluent Spanish. His staff is awesome too! He has hand-picked the best of the best in every area. They are knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I live in Bradenton. It's an hour's drive to his office, but every minute of the drive is worth it when you know you will be receiving the best orthopedic care in the area.

Excellent and professional staff, friendly, helpful, super clean and prompt. He saved me! 3rd month since surgery and can’t believe he got rid of the most excruciating pain I’d endured 20+ years!

My husband’s spine surgery was very successful. Dr Moulton is dedicated to excellent patient care. I so appreciated his call on a Saturday morning. He’s available to help at anytime.

I never write nasty reviews, but I am currently sitting on my couch in agony 3 years after my fusion. This pain started a few months after my surgery and when I went to him he didn't care one bit. (He literally shrugged at me.) Pain went away for a good three years and suddenly is back. I had this surgery so that I could get my life back (specifically running) which he promised I would. 3+ years and I haven't been able to run once and today I'm walking with crutches. Multiple well-respected doctors I have seen to deal with this pain have looked at my x-rays and MRIs and wondered why on Earth he did what he did to me. Not to mention that there is still a screw sticking out of my spine directly into my SI joint. I will have to have the surgery re-done at some point, which I'm told will be even more painful than the first, to fix his mistakes. I will deal with my choice of him as a surgeon for the rest of my life.

Dr. Moulton is a caring, informative, smart spine Doctor. He performed cervical spine surgery on my spouse last year. We were so impressed with him, he performed a cervical surgery on me 4 months ago with outstanding results too. We highly recommend Dr. Moulton. All of the staff that works with him are awesome.

Dr. Moulton saved my life. I have had back pain for years and consequently put off any consultations with a specialist thinking's it was only soft tissue problems. Finally, the pain became too much and my quality of life was sinking. My primary physician ordered an MRI which showed serious issues from L3-L5. I consulted with Dr. Moulton and he was to the point and stated I had to do something as my lower spine was a structual problem. I decided to have surgery and now I am 9 months post-op and feel no pain am able to stand, sit and walk for hours. Dr. Moulton was with me through the ordeal with support and concern. This was the best decision I ever made concerning care for my body and self. Thank you Dr. Moulton and staff.

At my first visit to your office, I felt welcomed and cared for by your wonderful staff. Going into a spinal surgery can be both terrifying and confusing, however after meeting with Dr. Moulton those fears quickly disappeared. Dr. Moulton is one of the most compassionate and thorough doctors I have ever been too. Before surgery visits with Dr. Moulton, he explained exactly what to expect both after surgery and recovery, and what I was told was exactly what happened. After Dr. Moulton was finished with the surgery he went to the waiting room where my husband was and explained everything to him, as well as coming to visit me in the hospital and sitting with me to find out exactly how I felt. I am now a month after surgery and feel wonderful. Dr. Moulton took the time to explain the follow up xrays to me, and I truly believe that because of Dr. Moulton's expertise and compassion, my recovery is going amazing.
