Dr. Andrew J. Schorfhaar, DO

I had nothing but major problems with this DR. Andrew Schorfhaar. i came to schorfhaar to have a left pectoral surgery, had the surgery in November 2016. the following day after my surgery i got so sick from strep throat so bad that i almost died! i did not have any issues the night before i went into surgery! this lead to me getting a serious and LIFE threatening staff infection in the shoulder that he performed surgery on! which lead to him not agreeing with me and saying that it was not infected and performing another surgery which did not help the problem what soever, he did no follow up blood work and just continued to tell me that it was fine while yellow puss poured out of my incision sight day after day. finally after texting and calling him for help, which he ignored me and left me to fend for myself, i got ahold of another doctor. DR. David Chao for a second oppinion which he imediatly agreed that it was infected from the metal buttons that Schorfhaar had used. which i… then had another surgery with DR. Chao which he imediatly fixed the problem. so to all the people reading this, i had 3 surgerys! 2 that should have never happend, the surgery that Dr, Schorfhaar had performed left me with an infectious disease which almost lead me to having my arm AMPUTATED! he did nothing about it, not return phone calls or nothing. he just simply said there was no issue while yellow puss pored out of the incision site day after day for 8 MONTHS. his staff were extremely rude and mostly obese , they were not clean or professional. thats wy i got a life threatening disease from the operating room. i also would wait 2 plus hours to see him for every appointment. which they then had to ask all my info again because they said they had a new computer system, this went on for 8 months. please take my advice! i would recomend any other Dr. if you value your life! i would give him negitve 100 stars

Schorfhaar is excellent at human compassion, and when the job has to get done he gets it done. He's athletically oriented, allowing for free motion in surgery.

He's the one doctor, you actually look forward to seeing because he's incredibly professional, passionate about what he does and genuinely cares about his patients. He explains everything and answers all of my questions.

I had one visit with Dr Schorfhaar and was referred to another orthopedic specialist. I have no complaints about Dr Schorfhaar, but had an extremely difficult time with the required paperwork being forwarded to the next doctor. My information wasn't submitted until I showed up in person to address the issue. Although the office staff is friendly, I was very disappointed with the effort it took on my end to complete the referral so that I could schedule my appointment with the oncologist I was being referred to.
