Dr. Koch-Leibmann was born and raised in Germany and obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Hamburg School of Medicine where she completed her residency. She also did research into Crohn's Disease earning a PhD at the University of Hamburg. She completed a second residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle, before joining the staff at Evergreen. hospital medicine, her medical interests are inpatient geriatrics as well as palliative and end-of-life care. Dr. Koch-Leibmann is the mother of two sons and enjoys participating in track and field, as well as child education/development.
