Dr. Angus Psalmond Phelts III, MD

8 years ago he treated me for throat cancer and at that time he did a great job. However, I felt St. Francis was wrong in assessing facility fees to Medicare and Tricare patients and I told him I wouldn’t be back if I had to pay them. He also knew that my Canadian wife and I spent our summers in Canada. I was finally able to see an ENT at Fort Benning who completed my follow up care after my cancer was eliminated. I haven’t had the need for an ENT until now due to a hereditary condition which cause nose bleeds and other detrimental effects. I had an appointment to see Dr. Phelts due to bleeding in my throat caused by my HHT. He refused to see me as a patient saying I went for care to another country for treatment. All of my treatments were done in the Columbus area. I’ve never seen an ENT in Canada. As I mentioned I originally told him why I wasn’t going back to St. Francis due to their billing for facility fees. Dr Phelps was rude and did not want to discuss the truth of the matter.… However, I did in the end say something I wasn’t proud of in the heat of the moment for that I’m sorry. So now I have a bleeding issue without a doctor to see as the Fort Benning ENT no longer sees retirees.

Dr. Phelts wasn't helpful. He told me my ear pressure was normal and then told me there was nothing he could do for me. However, he did recommend Nasal Rinse. Today, 4 years later, I am wearing 2 hearing aids. Please, DO NOT go to this man !!!!

The is a rude and unprofessional doctor. My mother went to see him while in a lot of pain. He walked in and said so what's going on with you(it was the tone)my mother explained what was going on, he looked in her mouth and stated there is nothing I can do for you. she asked could he recommend he said go back to Dr. Patel ,he is the one that sent you over here and walked out the room. This person expects payment for this rude experience. He is unfit to be a doctor. Bedside manner is non-existent.

Accused my mother of being a meth addict due to deterioration in her nasal cavity. This accusation was made with absolutely evidence other than her ailment which causes her excruciating pain daily. He had absolutely no interest in helping and instead shunned her and ignored her problems without listening to her and ended the appointment after 2 minutes. This doctor should be avoided at all costs he has no interest in helping or listening to his patients.

For a "red neck" looking guy, Dr. Phelts is cool and obviously aware and accepting of cultural diversity. I have no problems with wait time. Americans need to be patient and more understanding.

He doesn't listen to his pts, he forms his own opinion and everyone else (even other drs) are all wrong. I had multiple CTs and MRIs indicating a certain diagnosis (a deadly one), and he insisted that couldn't be correct. He said "I don't beleive you have_______" Good thing I didn't trust him, and saw another ENT, that saved my life!

He treated my mom during her battle with throat cancer and was wonderful thought-out the whole ordeal. He was always honest and up front with us, he was also a very caring doctor. I would recommend him to anyone; I am in his debt for all he did for my mother and our family.
