Dr. Anita Minghini, MD

Dr. Minghini is the most honest, compassionate and and knowledgable breast doctor around. I would recommend her to anyone with breast cancer issues.

Dr. Minghini is the best. Coming from a practice where I felt like I didn't matter at a time that was terrifying to me, finding her was such a blessing. She truly cares, explains in detail, makes sure that you are comfortable and answers any questions. She performed an excisional biopsy on my right breast today, and had great bedside manner. I wouldn't go see anyone else, and truly trust her with my care.

Dr. Minghini and her staff are caring, knowledgeble, excellent professionals. Appointments are kept in a timely manner, all questions answered completely and options provided with thorough information.

Dr. Minghini is absolutely the most incredible, caring, compassionate and loving doctor. I found her by doing my own research when my oncologist wanted to send me to a general surgeon for breast cancer. She is down to earth, made me feel like I was her only patient. Clearly explained everything and gave me all options available. I have never written a review for a doctor but felt she deserved it. She is just that good. Her staff is the same, Jennifer would call me just to see how I was doing. You just don't find doctor's like this today. If you have gotten the awful diagnosis of breast cancer, please go see her, she will see you through from start to infinity.

CHECK CREDENTIALS . . .rude staff, rude doctor,. I was 1st appointment at 8 AM(arrived at 7:45), had to fill out paperwork, put into exam room, doc showed up 15 minutes later. Her first words were " due to your being late (??), we must get through this apt quickly as I have 35 more appointments today!" After BRIEF discussion, I was handed a paperback book & notebook regarding breast cancer along with insincere smile. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to her. As the only female breast surgeon in Winchester, apparently she gets all referrals from diagnostic center. DEPLORABLE. JUST CURIOUS, how does a surgeon squeeze in 36 patients between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM.. assuming a lunch hour is taken- and considering entrances/exits from exam room, in addition to at least 4-5 minute intervals between patients, equates to perhaps 5-8 minutes (maybe) per patient. This was my first visit after discovery of BREAST CANCER!! The doctor I did find spent QUALITY Time with me, his office… staff is beautiful INSIDE & OUT. AND his credentials are superb - Dr. Benzom Dy (Winchester).

The Best! Down to earth. Smart. Clear. Reassuring. Couldn't ask for a better Doctor - esp during very trying times.

My wife was referred to Dr. Mangini by a local OB/GYN after a mammogram detected a nodule. She was recommended as the "go to" doctor given my wife's diagnosis. I'm a military retiree. There are no military clinics in this area so we are ensured through Tri Care Prime (TCP). It's like an HMO where I pay premiums and copays and see network providers referred by my Primary Care manager. But, unlike many HMOs, we can see non network providers through the Point of Service Option (POS) but at greater cost to the patient. The patient pays up front and is reimbursed up to 50%. Since this doctor was non network, but came recommended, we were willing to shoulder the additional costs. My wife called but was refused the appointment since they did not accept TCP. I called them back and explained that we would pay up front and would be reimbursed through the POS option and was accused of attempted insurance fraud. I explained again. I was told they'd confer with the Dr. They called back and… rudely informed me my wife would not be seen regardless, even if we paid cash at the time of service. I was stunned. My shock peaked when I discovered Dr. Mangini's practice accepts Medicaid insurance but not cash from a military retiree. Guess I should have gone to the welfare office 40 years ago instead of the recruiting office.

I had a bad experience with the staff at this office. I waited two months for this appointment and because I had to drive from Washington, DC, I was late 1/2 hour, they refused to see me, they didn't allow me to wait until I could be seeing (they only had one patient in the waiting room), and the only option offered was to re-schedule and the waiting period was approximately 1 month. I understand that I was late, but how often does a patient waits 1/2 hour too to be seeing? unfortunately, the office staff did not show any concerns or sympathy for the obstacles that encountered on that day; there was no willingness to help, and it was "their way or the highway" attitude. My comment/review is that in the field of medicine that these people practice, having COMPASSION and understanding is a must. Perhaps their demeanor needs improvement in dealing with difficult situations. Patients are not business CLIENTS, and they need to UNDERSTAND the difference. I hope that by reading this… comment, the office staff will become better aware that they need improvement.

Dr. Minghini is my breast cancer surgeon. She is a highly personable, warm, caring and skilled physician. She has informed me every step of the way regarding all pathology reports, treatment options and after care, including taking the time to call me at home. I cannot praise her enough and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of breast care services. Just superb!

She is my mother's physician and this lady knows her stuff. She is polite, professional, and has a wonderful bedside manner. She is very intelligent but has a great way of explaining things so that that patient and family understand. She has compassionate bedside manner and makes you feel like a person and not like a number or a dollar figure.
