She practices preventative care and evidenced-based medicine. Prior to joining Baylor Scott and White, Dr. Shankar practiced in Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. She received the Outstanding Resident in Ambulatory Medicine for Internal Medicine/Pediatrics award during her medical training, and was recognized as an All-Star Clinician Communicator by her former employer. She is glad to be back in Texas, and outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering.
