Dr. Anita T Wu, MD

My wife and I had the honor of working with Dr. Wu in regard to my brother's recent dementia diagnosis and the implications of his disease process and it's progress. We were extremely impressed with Dr. Wu's office staff and are profoundly grateful that my brother is under Dr. Wu's excellent care. We live in East Tennessee and I am a retired Family Physician of 40 years, my wife has her Masters in pediatric nursing. I have worked professionally for years with medical consultants/specialists but have seldom seen the compassion and caring Dr. Wu showed to my brother and the knowledge she displayed to me and my wife. She allowed an extraordinary amount of time for us to ask questions and to discuss the very difficult diagnosis she had to give to my brother. Toward the end of the visit, after she discussed the diagnosis in layman's terms to my brother and informed my wife and I separately, she gently put her hand on his hand and patiently answered all of our questions

Dr Wu is a great listener and communicator. She is so patient with my mother who has neuropathy and dementia and is also very hard of hearing. She takes time to communicate directly with her instead of just with me or my dad, and she writes out clear instructions. She's also very responsive to email communication between visits. We've been seeing her for five years.

Dr. Wu is working very hard to diagnose my conditions, explains things very well, and has great "bedside" manner.

Best doctor I've ever had, very courteous and encouraging of patient involvement in care. Looks files/cases over after your appointments. Goes that extra mile for your care.
