Horrible. I was in back labor and she ordered three epidurals and none worked. Felt all the pain with back labor and the second degree tear, after which she said, “I didn’t do this, your kid did”!!!! So I guess my infant was the negligent one, not her for making sure I did not tear. She waited after the tear to do an episiotomy. Wish I had gotten a different on call doctor. Absolutely the worst!

She misdiagnosed me my placental Previa. I was bleeding for 2 weeks in my 25 th week of pregnancy and never did sonogram . I went into labor at 27weeks . I have heard she is retired BUT IF SHE IS STILL PRACTICING DO NOT PICK THIS WOMAN! Our only child almost died because of her When I arrived at emergency room in labor she was annoyed I came to Phelps rather than going to the medical center . DO NOT GO TO HER . Even though I was bleeding at 25 weeks she did NOT DO a sonogram If she’s retired .. you are lucky ; if not DONT go to this woman .

Do not go to this doctor for OB care .... She is careless and screwed up my delivery !! If you have No Uterus and are going through menopause she may be ok BUT she will jeopardize your pregnancy !!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ankolekar for about 10 years and I am past child bearing years. I find Dr. Ankolekar to be generous with her time and information. She has guided me through menopause without medication (my decision based on discussions with her) and is always interested in my total health and not just gynecological issues. Without reservation I would highly recommend Dr. Ankolekar.

Do not pick this woman as your OB! Our only child almost died because of her misdiagnosis and mismanagement of my pregnancy. She is Not very cautious . She will jeopardize your pregnancy and the life of your unborn baby because of lack of knowledge .

BE Very careful....she may have 41 years of experience But she is NOT UP to date on her Clinical diagnosis skills.

She did not respect my wishes as a patient, lied to me to keep me as her patient and gave me very wrong predictions about my condition. I had to change practitioner as I felt very uncomfortable and could not trust her and have confidence she would take good care of me. May be experienced and knowledgeable but she is lacking patience and psychological skills. I do not recommend this doctor at all!

Love this doctor and her staff. She's gentle, caring and is the first to follow up. Not afraid to get on my case when I am stubborn (and I need that!). Though I've moved out of state, I will continue to travel to see this doctor.
